alright we finally got some footage to work with

changes ive noticed:
:P+K: and :6::6::K: no longer connects on knocked down enemies meaning no more FTs

back tank roll, this is something im very interested in as it should make this already evasive tank even more so,especially against wake up kicks.

lunge attack, this is a move he used right after the roll its personally unfamiliar to me and from the looks of it hes doing from a stance he ends up in from the tank roll.maybe we will get more options from it?

(BT):K:,:P::P: this move used to land the opponent near you for a ground grab however now it instead knocks the opponent away.now this is just a theory but i noticed the way she fell is face up feet first we MIGHT be able to land that dam roll grab on them, but even then i cant tell if its guaranteed or not.

This is greatly concerning. The new roll is nice and it does seem that he has a new move, if not more, from the roll itself. Honestly though, IF he actually loses his FT abilities, that would hurt him a lot. I would imagine a good chunk of his mix-up would be gone. UNLESS, its just the moves themselves that initiate the FT are changed. I wonder if they tried :4::K:? That has FT properties currently IIRC.

i was surprised as hell when i learned that had FT properties to be honest but from the looks of it i haven't seen any FTs from anyone

I am not at all happy with this. Backwards roll is cool, but for all we know it could just be a useless gimmick.

What I really take in from this video is the removal of the P+K force tech, which is really, really bad. He better be getting something really damn good to make up for that.

Ground slam attacks in general have been changed so that they don't give enough advantage for FT.

They still give enough for ground throws.

This should cripple characters like Helena, however. That could be considered a stealth buff, in some ways. At least, for me. Heh.

I personally always forgot to use FTs. However you say it's a frame issue lets say you instead use his sweep kick when you're at the end of you juggle frames shouldn't be a problem since you can time that to hit anytime you want.the window of opportunity wouldn't have time to close.

This was back in the trailer but i'd noticed Bayman's ground throw the neck snap was given 2 hits, if this is true i'd assume they're going for more guaranteed damage in this game. I guess that can also help / hurt bass seeing as his force techs were even better than his pick up , he'll need some guaranteed stuff he can take from his pick up or some thing because stupid kasumi/ christie can jab me out of some Bayman set ups like if she breaks the tank roll and is at -3 if I 3p to stun , they can jab me out of it. For Bass that's probably even worse right? Still too soon to judge though.

I believe the ground throw neck snap you're referring to comes from his roll.

There are instances where a person will be on the ground, but with their head facing you instead of their feet. In Vanilla DOA 5 we get the regular necksnap. In this way, if you somehow set it up, you get just as much damage from the rolling neck snap as you would from the rolling leg snap.

looks like i was right about the back roll giving him options, they seem to be designed to attack anyone who tries to pursue his retreat. ive seen him do a jumping lunge and a low kick.hopefully he has something to deal with a side step otherwise he can jump right into a dangerous predicament

At 0:27 when Bayman backed off when he broke the throw a cringed , it's that point when I've played too much DOA and it's like football or something, I wanted to yell YOU'RE +3 GET OUT THERE PRESSURE THAT WOMAN!

woohoo better footage! they weren't kidding about the rolling he does it A LOT he can even roll after :P+K: now.speaking of which it seems to be acting a bit weird, it can still SDS on normal hit...i think the earlier times he tried it didn't work weird.we also got a new launcher where he pops them up with his knee, ive already fallen in love with it doesn't net a lot of damage but its safer than throwing out ground combos, maybe a good refloat for tag.

i was RIGHT haha! he does attack from a stance after roll,he can do a high or a low both cause minor stuns

as for nerfs it looks like he lost a lot of his guaranteed ground grabs? ill survive.
