I must have missed something. Was the reveal at E3 in 2005 that great, what happened? Honest question. I wasn't in the loop with DOA at the time, busy doing other things. The last time I had played DOA was ultimate and at the time I didn't have it cause it broke a long time ago.

No, it wasn't really all that great, which was kind of my point. The trailer itself was decent, but they mostly just had that playing on a really big screen and some booth babes dressed up as DoA characters (and Rachel). Problem was, despite the trailer being pretty good, all of the stuff leaked a bit earlier than the show.

Yes, I didn't post the news about it because they're just using the demo provided in Ninja Gaiden 3 CE.

If he answered that he'd be talking about it. We'll just have to be patient and wait, see?

Maybe at some point when Itagaki is surprisingly on-stage presenting some new game he is working on, he is suddenly interrupted by Hayashi and Shimbori, some epic background music begins, the stage lighting changes to something more gritty, a 2-on-1 BOSS fight is engaged, Hayashi/Shimbori exchange an awesome sequence of blows with Itagaki, resulting in him getting knocked into some moving dangerzone (and KO'd).

Then this supposedly impromtu display of "fighting entertainment" leads into the anticipated reveal of an INSANELY HYPE DOA5 trailer.

Yep, they will just be showing the 4 Characters demo at the event (Hayabusa, Hayate, Hitomi and Ayane).

Dr.Dogg must have gotten some Godlike private tweet or something....using ancient Chinese secrets~ either way, we will all be in the loop come E3....Sucks that only Dr.Dogg will be playing the new build...You'll be Recording matches right? you know that god like footage that we can't rely on IGN or gamestop for?

I rarely use Twitter... and I wouldn't count IGN out just yet. You may find they're stepping their game up shortly after E3.

And assuming I write the guide, I won't get that build until probably late July... and it's very unlikely I'd be able to record any matches or discuss anything about it until after release. FYI...

I've got my eye on a few other things. DoA5 couldn't possibly hope to interest me in any major way since my character was already announced. Want to impress me? Announce Ein and toss another demo my way. Otherwise I couldn't care less. And E3 2005 was the best showing for a DoA title at E3 so far. No event will change that. That reveal was epic.

Well, you're CyberEvil... the only person on the internet who is harder to please than I am. I do have to agree that the DOA4 trailer at E3 2005 would be hard to beat. Then again... who said "the best E3 showing" is limited to trailers?

I do feel this needs to be posted though:

Is it just me or was DOA4 a DOA2U with a better lighting and rendering engine and new moves (minus limbo stuns and other things removed from DOA3)?

Pretty much. Word was that 2U was actually going to be DOA4 until they just decided to bring over the catalog together and focus resources on doing online network.

Why was all that content cut? im sure that same question has been asked over 1,000 times but...seriously wtf. It's kinda mindblowing how much CG was in the trailer...

well it's only the opening....DOA4 was at least 4-5 characters endings....odd that you mentions this. Tag2 endings will be around 2 and 1/2 mins long on average now~ pretty cool I must say...mostly because Asuka and Lili are like a funny ass duo...props to Tekken's Dev team for that....Not something you get in DOA but eh...DOA is suppose to be serious.

Hahaha, what!?

I'm calling it now - DOA5, Bayman's ending: "HEY MA, IMMA HORSE! (Dream Sequence)"
Non-canonical endings aside, DOA has a general serious overtone to the series, though not as dark as it's brother title series Ninja Gaiden.

Zack is the only character who really defines comic relief in DOA, as his interactions with most of the cast can be quite humorous. In comparison, Tekken has alot more of this with more of it's cast.

thats generally where i was driving at.
