Shit happens~

See previous statement~

but on topic, err stances right...uhh Isn't Christie Stanceless now since it isn't a true stance anymore but more of a transition?
Yeah, but it seems faster now. Which is nice. Her stance before seemed unsafe to me. Now it's like Brad wong or Zack's. A nice evading tool.

Bayman's Tank Roll is like a transition as well, choosing to attack, grab, or what have you before going back to neutral. So if Bayman's Tank Roll is a stance, then Christie is as well seeing as how a stance is a host of attacks that you can't do unless in that form and or form of motion.

Question: I saw everyone had 3 costumes in the E3 build. So is 3 going to be the default start, or do we have to unlock them along with the other 3?

Some characters had 4 outfits in the E3 build, others had 2. However, there's no way I can answer a question about what will be default in September.

Question: Since the ground game is different than DOA4, how are force get ups utilized? Like in DOA4, the opponent forgets to quick get up, so I have two ground attacks of my choosing to force them back up. With Kasumi's 1+P, I can force them up with them being able to counter my next attack so their only defense was to block. So um, are there any in DOA5 that you discovered?

Just about any attack that slams the opponent to the ground prevents them from teching immediately. This allows characters like Bayman and Tina to get guaranteed ground throws. However, I did not check for any forced tech setups. In the Alpha, characters had far more invincibility on wake-up, which completely removed the forced tech game that allowed you to stop an opponent from countering in DOA4. I don't think that's changed, but I did not check it.

Question: When someone counters and you quick step behind them, can they quickly slow escape after being stuned ala DOA4? Or it more akin to Ayane's DOAU 4+Grab?

You can slow escape from BT just like before. I didn't test this specific situation on neutral ground, but on water you get the same setups that were available in DOA4.

Tina
Lisa
Hayabusa
Brad Wong

Tina's is, right?

What are you asking?

Just depends on your definition of a stance. Christie's new "technique" essentially has the same options as her previous stance. The only significant difference is that she can't remain in the stance indefinitely like she could before.

Whoa, whoa, whoa..
They actually did something with Leifang's previously useless BT and made it a full-on stance now? That's fantastic news.

No... not really. It's just she has more BT attacks than most other characters outside of Helena, Brad, Ayane and a few others.

Kasumi: Dash thingy... (that's the technical term)

The term is Hoshinpo, thank you very much. -:kasumi:

With her Hoshinpo can she transition into it more smoothly now? Before when she dashed in and it was highly noticeable. After watching her game play I see her doing moves that she has in her Hoshinpo but; the animation is not as profound as it use to be. When she teleports the animation is there, I can see that 'dash thingy' just fine. haha

I noticed her slice grab seems to be an OH. It looks kinda awkward. DASH DASH DASH! UNNECESSARY SPIN! GRAB!

I like my technical term better.

Some of the transitions are pretty seamless... others, not so much.

It's not a catch throw. At least not as of the E3 build. The animation looked like it, but I couldn't get it to go through any attacks.

Good, very good. I can work with this.

I am also glad that her Hoshinpo throw is not an OH. That means I can work my shenanigans with that throw. I will find something with it.

One of the requests I made for Hayate was to allow him to cancel into his Ninpo Dash from a lot more attacks. I think Kasumi could benefit from the same thing. Although I think the priority for her should be safety. She's almost as unsafe as Zack.

I would like for Hayate to have such tools, would benefit him greatly.

Hmm, so she still has some DOA4 blood in her, guess "Free" will be her best option in DOA5 as well.

That was nice suggestion, Hayate doing that would make him a nice little headache to deal with. Especially if they gave him back his throw from it.

I hope they listen and implement that suggestion and that Kasumi gets a piece of that action as well.

That does not make her safe nor does it help. Canceling anything with her, you might as well finish it.

I never said it makes her safe...when did I say that, all I said is I'll be using "Free" aka, I'll be transitioning into different moves because finishing most moves with Kasumi will only open up a for sure casket.

Which character is the high risk/reward type? Anyone who plays Soul Calibur knows Cervantes is that kind of character so any character from DOA that is like Cervantes?

Errr, I guess Kasumi. She's very unsafe. Everything she does is basically a risk.
