DoA5LR on PC Pad Issues?

I use a PS2 controller. I am using the eTokki PS2 to PS3 converter, which I would normally hook up to a PS3 if I wanted to play my fighting games, and play.

There seems to be recognition of the controller device at least, and when I go into the main menu, the buttons that only work are directional arrow keys. I can't select, press start, cancel, or enter into anything with the PS2 to PS3 converter.

Now don't get me wrong, all my other games like Street Fighter 4 work just fine with the same equipment used.

The issue I'm having is probably that DoA5LR has only registered Xbox/Microsoft controller adapters, but not a PS3. Would anybody know what to do?

Install xpadder

Once done, configure the buttons and place them in the format of your PS2 controller

Once all the buttons are configured, click each button and input them parallel to the keyboard (read the Steam manual)

After that, unplug the adapter of your controller and open DOA5

Use the keyboard controls to get to the main menu

Plug your controller adapter into the USB port

Now you can use it and note that the game will read it as a keyboard but the inputs are practically the same

I am well aware of Xpadder but I am disappointed that we have to resort to using Xpadder just because the silly ass joy controller support is poorly designed on DoA5LR. Like I said, the controller currently works in the current game, but the controls are just incorrect.

With that being addressed, I believe Team Ninja can address it and fix it. Until then I'm going to ask others around if they know any other solutions.

This is actually quite common for more than a few games on PC. The XTokki converter isn't normally supported by alot of games.
