Does saving replays EVER work?

Every time I have a fight I wanna save, I go into the watch replay, and it turns out it suddenly stopped saving halfway through the match (not even long matches), or it shows a totally different outcome from what actually happened, or theres moments where both fighters stop fighting for about 5-10 seconds, then some stuttering shuffles, then continues on. Its usually after that that it shows things that didnt happen the original fight.

Whats the point of saving replays if it cant save the whole fight, or even get the fight right? Or better question, how is this the first fighter in history to screw up SAVE REPLAY?! What in the heck is going wrong here?

I don't know... are you accepting throw downs or anything? I was saving some and accepted a throw down by accident and it only recorded half of the replay, it just stopped halfway.

No throwdowns to accept, it was a ranked match I was trying to save. And this happens all the time.

Replays are input interpretive to the match as opposed to an actual saved video. So in all likelihood, no. Potentially in a match with no lag to offset the input, but that's a big maybe.

by the way, are you able to save replays in casuals? or only ranked matches? I noticed that there is no menu when you play simple or lobby games to save replays like how it is in ranked match

edit: I think you gotta watch the replay without pausing it or anything

Umm... ok now I'm getting kind of angry with this. I didn't think it was that bad. I saved some really good matches. I'm getting proud of the progress I'm making and I've gotten into some very good fights. The last five I saved were not even what happened in the match. It's really disheartening. My character is doing moves I didn't even do. Doesn't look like it'll even be fixed with the patch. I'm sitting there watching then all of a sudden.. wait da fuck? That didn't happen. Also, what grade do you have to be to upload replays? I tried and I can't. Grade is too low. I'm an A-. Really TN?

Whenever a lag spike happens it messes up how input data is saved for replays. This will no longer be an issue tomorrow.

My very first ranked replay save worked out like a charm. I'm dying to upload it merely for how it ended. I'm gonna edit the crud out of my match footage with the power of Sony Vegas!

But yeah, as far as I'm concerned, I haven't encountered the problem yet. Thankfully the patch will no longer make it a big issue.

It's better than waiting on the actual game for a mouth...ugh I explain how bad it was, man I was going crazy losing patients

yea, i guess so. but i can't wait to see the changes made to my character. i don't really know why i'm so damn excited but i am lol.

REPLAY INPUT GLITCH IS STILL IN THE GAME

Just scored a win against Blackmamba tonite (yay me!), but the goddamn replay spazzed out the third round and has the characters, once again, doing completely different moves.

I'm afraid this is true. I had a perfectly good replay that played back to me splendidly. When I patched up the game just now, I replayed it for upload and everything skewed horribly and ended the match halfway before its epic finish.

What was once a fantastic 3-2 match of my Akira Vs a Hayabusa that got me up to B- turned into a one-sided 3-0 fight in my favor. This is just BAD -_-

That's how mine was!!! I won the last match with a SLIVER of health. One round I got a great. I was so damn proud. Both of us A players. Played it back it it was me losing every round... IDGI. Lame.

Seems you had it worse than me. You have my sympathies, brother.

One thing I've noticed, replays break like 90% of the time when a power blow is performed. Especially if it's a power blow that brings out the hidden objects (flying cars, flying trains, helicopters, boulders, etc). Not once has a replay saved successfully when the hidden object was involved. Matches without a power blow have yet to fail me.
