Agreed i was just about to make the same topic and could this be prima best guide to date? I sure think so this is easily the best prima guide ive personally purchased. Everythings laid out beautifully and it even states things in the guide like which moves track which ive personally seen in a guide. On a side note i got lucky today and it was a good thing i preordered because my best buy only got 3 copies of DOA5.

Me and one other guy got picked up our copy so that leave one copy left at the union city bestbuy. Before anyone says the guide will just become obsolete you can easily make changes yourself in the guide with a pen. Not only that but even if a game does go through considerable changes with a patch it doesnt mean its going to make it a whole new game.

Either way great job on the guide Bryan and the rest of the staff that worked on the guide. Thanks also goes out to DR2K for letting me know the guide would be free at best buy because if i didnt know they sure wouldnt have told me those scumbags.

Cant wait to get mine from amazon.
If you like quality guides shit is nice and im looking at the front/back right now. Of course you can find online guides but there not going to be as nicely laid out as this guide. Its also got a good amount of feedback about the best time to use certain moves and how to take full advantage of those moves.

I personally dont like to always go online to check for in depth information on a particular character and online guides usually arent easy on the eyes as a actual strategy guide. Ill keep it real i havent really cared for prima guides in the past but this one is LEGIT.

Some of the unlocking shit is wrong (in particular, how to unlock the "special" costumes), but having the frame data in an easy to reference format without having to turn on the move data is nice.

Kasumi's profile has an error. It states her birthday is Feburary 3rd, when in fact it's Feburary 23rd.

EDIT: Out side of that this guide is epic from start to finish. LOVE IT!

The contents page states the unlocking guide is on page 232 but its actually on page 332. No biggie though since most people know all the unlockable stuff is usually in the back of guide. Not only that but its easily found if you actually plan on opening the guide. Great guide and im definitely glad i have a copy.

Man! I love this guide, it explains the ins & out about EVERYTHING on DOA5. Dr Dogg definitely did a outstaning job and he out done himself. ;) P.S. o_O this game is hard as shit and it feels ridiculously different but a amazing game. :) 9.5/10 very proud at TN

I checked out the guide today at GameStop. It really is a beast. I was already hurting from forking over 80 clams, but I think I might have to go back and snag a copy.

One miscellaneous little thing I enjoyed was the character profiles (I was really disappointed when they weren't in the manual). As a tall girl, I like to know the cast's heights; knew everyone's except Rig and Mila. In case anyone is curious, Rig is 6'1" (185cm) and Mila is 5'7" (170cm). I was disappointed by Mila -- she looked at least as tall as Zack. :bayman:

I noticed some of the frame data was incorrect. It says 6P is not tracking for Bass... when it is. Ah well, everything else is great.

I wish I could praise the guide with y'all but there is one thing that has annoyed me with it. Every character with stance. The guide doesn't list what move puts you directly in the the stance. Helena's :2: :P+K: is not listed in her move list. Most characters with stances have that problem.
Other than that, this guide has really stepped my game up.

After hearing all the hype over it, this is the only guide since Super Smash Bros. Brawl came out that I will have purchased. Seems like everyone is really liking it for the most part.
