I wouldn't play the game that way if there wasn't a timer. xD I'm overly paranoid I won't fit everything in.

How long is one in game minute? And how long does chronostasis last?
Just don't worry about the timer, I can pretty guarantee that you will never actually run out of time unless you never do any of the main quests which the first two are super easy.

The "timer" isn't even a timer it's more of a way to track in game time say if you want to talk to someone at 18:00 just keep an eye on the clock stuff like that, it's nothing new to people who have played majora's mask.

The timer means jack, I even thought the same way you did. You can easily do all 5 main quests within 2 DAYS. And even grinding for abilities isn't too difficult either and stuffing 50 quests is easily done within the alloted time. Pretty much, you have all the time in the world to do 50 quests, the 5 main story quests, can easily grind for abilities AND extinct all the monsters that can be perma-killed.

and 1 ingame minute is I believe 2-3 seconds as a full day is 72 hours and Chronostasis lasts like 10-15 seconds(which it's mainly used for catching time-specific quests or monsters).

Just do about 1 main quest one in game day and then spend the rest of the day doing sidequests. Abuse Chronostasis throughout the entire game because without it, the game will fly by and before you realize, you'll have to start over from the beginning. One in game minute is about 3 seconds, I think? And Chronostasis lasts about a minute.

A good first target would be Yusnaan. By Part 5, you get Midnight Mauve, which is one of the better magic-based garbs you can have before Day 8 or Day 1 Hard Mode.

Luxeirion is possible to beat on Day 2, but it really isn't recommended unless you're packing the Summoner and Soldier DLC garbs. The Graveyard's a bit tough.

Anyone of you play FFXIV? Got back into it after upgrading it to my PS4. Current main character is on Ragnarok (only level 16 yeah) and I kinda want to get to a point where I can play with others. Playing MMOs solo is boring.

I would...but no job, mainly want it on PC so I can work it far better and I need a better rig on top of that so...no.

It may be too late to save the gameplay, but here's hoping this fucking game at least goes back to its fucking roots storywise. FFXIII was almost borderline Phantasy Star with all the bells and whistles of Chrono Trigger. Don't believe me? Compare Lightning's goal directly to Alis's. Ultimately they were heroines trying to find peace of mind for their beloved sibling.

If FFVII got a remake it would be a disaster lmfao. They'd have to change too much that it would probably anger so many people. FFVII is a great game. They should leave it alone unless they really need money.

I think the best thing to do if they did a remake would be to not change anything about the actual gameplay, maybe add some new materia, make it more difficult, some more optional bosses, but that's it.

The problem with that is that it would still be flawed mess, that is my BIGGEST problem about FFVII's gameplay the controls and battle system is horrible. The simple fact that I can be atleast 3 bosses due to system exploits is rediculous, it needs adjusting and maybe more modernised but keep the original flare.

As for my own take on a remake, if they did one I'd buy it just to see how they fucked up an already not that great game and then laugh. Also, that's what mods are for.

Thing about old games is the poorer graphics allowed them to have a grander scale and a longer story. No way squenix could make something as big as one of their older games in next gen graphics without it taking forever and costs running higher than profits.

Another thing is to please the people asking for the remake, they'd have to keep it largely the same. Problem with that is the gameplay's way out of date and only a small group of people would accept that. Even FFX HD got criticized for gameplay being out of date which is a fucking ridiculous criticism considering it's a remaster of something that came out 13 years ago. >>

Well, the first love and classic would always be Final Fantasy VII, which is the boring answer. Of course as the nature of it being the first and totally blowing my mind, I don't think that is a process which can be replicated.

Then the story goes towards a decline at FF12 and stomping at FF XIII, which made me not buy FF XIII-2, the first FF I didn't buy since I became a fan of the franchise. I even went back and enjoyed FF 4 more than XIII.

HOWEVER, then XIII-3 came along, and I don't know what happened. A friend lured me in and that game was just great. I don't know why, but it just felt like a final fantasy, and with a combat system worthy of the title.

I wish more people would be open minded like that. I still believe there's alot of people that put LR immediately on their shitlist because they see Lightning and know that it's a XIII game. XIII and XIII-2 have really soiled LR because many won't even touch the game because they believe it's the same shit from XIII and XIII-2 which is not the case at all.

Am I the only one that liked XIII-2? ._. The monster thing was really fun. Having a chocobo fight alongside me with a chocobo decoration on its back was awesome.

I have enjoyed all the FF games I have played. The only ones I need to play/replay are 5,6,8, 9, and 12. 8 had a data corruption on the third disc (years ago and I've been too pissed about it since), I forget what happened with 9, and 12 I bought and started playing in college, not exactly the best decision due to the degree I was going for at the time (I don't remember where I am). Haven't played 5 or 6 but I have plans to.

Really looking forward to 15 and Agito (when it arrives) and Type 0 (either an official translation or via the SkyBlade English patch).
