That's the only experience I'll get with the game as well until it comes out and from what Tyaren has said its more combat than exploration and exploring is what I'm mostly excited for. The combat does look good though but I just need the full game to come out now.

Oh yeah haha, Lightning as a boss was great also.

Fun Fact when you beat those DLC bosses (most) of them become tamable monsters to use in your party so You can actually use Snow and Light in your party :p
Don't forget to mention how many times you have to beat them to get the monster crystals >> I had to do the pupu battle like 15 times for that one and I've still never gotten the crystal for the guy that's in the fight with Lightning.

I was interested in the Ultros/Typhon one but I've heard that one's hard af and I didn't want to redo it a million times for the crystals. Do those actually have crystals? I thought they all did but you said most do

The Assassin's Creed one, Lightning Bahamut Battle DLC, Mass Effect were the most downloaded content of them all. The Mass Effect one was pointless and were simply ugly when worn on them. Can't hate on it though for being purchased the most, people have different tastes out there.

It's not hard if you debuff, there will be a live trigger event when you RAV one of them to 999%. Ultros is 100% crystal. Typhon I believe is 20%. The hardest one is Valfodr and Gilgamesh.

Valfodr is hard because he has strong resistance to debuffs along with different levels of him. (Valfodr 70 and Valfodr 99 are the most painful.) It's not even a challenge battle, it's a silly battle of endurance and keeping stamina. Valfodr has access to Slowga, Ultima, and Cursega on the first phase. Then it becomes a massive problem when his health drops to half. He will cast Deprotega and use an attack called Gagnrath and Quasar. (Quasar I believe causes heavy wound damage, which can prevent certain health to coming back.) and the best of all to top it off to make the battle longer than it has to be is that he can buff himself with Haste, Faith and Bravery making the battle less fun.

Gilgamesh has 999,999 HP. The first phase is easy because he can get poisoned, but the 2nd phase is the hardest of all the boss fights within that content. Gilgamesh has access to Launch and Blitz. (Anything that launches you is the best attack in the game because you are forced to take damage, evasion from SEN has been reduced to 0% in the air, you cannot commence a turn until you have fallen back into the ground and awaiting the recovery off of it which is the worst when you are casting a buff like Haste with moves like this eating up the buff time.), you know that animation when you are launched by the Meteor attack from PuPu for attacking the ship? That. This is one of the tools that drastically makes the game easier when you stagger them into 999% with you constantly launching them and doing massive damage to them. When Gilgamesh is half health, he will cast a permanent Haste on himself that can't be removed along with increased stats of Strength and Magic which allows himself to attack in situations where you are launched or trying to attack him. He can literally do Blitz > Launch > Cross-Slash > Death Claw > Blitz while you are literally *still* in the air, you are not allowed to heal while you are in the air either. Challenging at first, but it got really annoying when he got a permanent haste.

Then the worse of it all is when you beat them (Valfodr) and you don't get the crystal even though it was a 5-star battle reward so you don't feel like doing it again.

@Awesmic may say the same thing or probably fill you in more about it.

I'll have to take your word on some of this stuff. My old man actually memorized the foolproof strategy.

On a side note, Dissidia Arcade has some gameplay changes to at least two characters as of today's patch update. The first big one being Squall, who got a significant decrease in overall damage output on all bravery attacks (THANK GOD!). But that's not all. The properties of Upper Blues and Savage Claw in particular have been nerfed, and his HP attack Fated Circle has reduced range and a weaker vacuum effect. On the plus side, Blasting Zone has a much quicker startup and a shorter time to fully charge.

Meanwhile, Zidane's only change was an increase in range for Free Energy, which is understandable since its startup frames are slower than that of 012. At least now it's more practical to use when punishing mid-range attacks.

I expected Squall nerfs but I didn't expect a "big" list one from those. I always knew he was a problem but 50/50 on it.

We might be able to play bits of Noctis' childhood/memories. We saw gameplay segments like this before, but only in the old trailers when the game was still called XIII Versus:

Also some random designs from the art department:

Those monsters look pretty fantastical to me. :)

The developers have also answered some Japanese fan questions from the XV forums:

  • You cannot expect high quality photo taking mode, but you may enjoy pictures Prompto has taken in the gallery.
  • Details cannot be shown right now, but they plan to implement gallery mode for key arts (concept arts) and CGs.
  • You can check revealed enemies, characters, weapons, and dishes with 3D graphic in the final product. But not for items.
No real photo mode makes me sad... :( Prompto can keep his stupid snapshots...

The thing you were saying about being able to check enemy's I hope isn't like ff13 because in that game its just a static image with no lore/info on the creature. So I hope its a 3D model viewer with interesting information.

When I played 12 it had a beast viewer were you could read about the creatures so I hope its like that but also a 3D viewer.

PS: I like how there's a little blue Cactuar in the corner.

Doesn't sound like a static image. ;)

Okay well that's one more thing I'm excited for now because I love model viewers. I'm surprised more games don't do it because its like a mode dedicated to the graphics and work the developers did to the smallest detail on an outfit etc. Now I just hope the creatures are more expanded on than 13.

Edit: I mean the codex it was just an image instead of a viewable model and there was no info on them besides battle affects.
