It's actually a shame you never got to play Episode Duscae. It has the most beautiful lighting in any video game that I have seen. Very natural and atmospheric:
(This screen might not look like much but it is actually very technically advanced. You don't get that fluorescent lighting look as good as this anymore...)
Back then I paid someone who bought Type-0 30€ for the Duscae code. Back then I was wondering if I would regret that. By now I am more than glad I did actually.

Yeah I did look around for the code but I didn't trust that one of the ones I got wouldn't have been already used etc so I didn't get it. It does look great though.

15 minutes of World of Final Fantasy gameplay:
Hm...I was under the impression before that the game was fully voiced an not just text bubbles (like in this footage). Though judging by the writing and acting from other scenes I've seen, it is probably a blessing that not more is voiced. I also thought it was a bit more open. In this footage the game feels very segmented with a lot of loading time. It's maybe a bit too old school for me after all. :/

Is it just me or the outfit design for the World of FF protagonist is somewhat similar to Versus XIII Noctis? I don't think this is a coincidence...! Even the hair is similar.
Tetsuya Nomura designed both characters. He's quite infamous for his repetitive character design. Imo he is one of the most overrated character desigers there are.
I'm so glad that a talent like Roberto Ferrari took over to redesign and design most characters in FFXV. We might have to thank him for Cindy, lol...but he also did some really nice character designs, like the old Cid or Gentiana or Ardyn, Iedolas, Verstael and Aranea.
By the way, the FFXV ATR is in less than 5 hours:

Yeah the game is definitely the old style, The battles seem a bit slow but It might have just been that one. I'm okay with the talking not always being voiced and lol I'm not surprised your thinking it's a blessing! XD But yeah I'm still on the fence about getting this yet.

Oh don't get me wrong, I too am not a fan of Nomura and I dislike most of his work, and on the other hand I like Roberto Ferrari (I have a huge soft spot for him since he is Italian, loves Retro Anime and worked with Tatsunoko), it's just that the protag of World of FF is a bit too akin to old Noctis, more than other Nomura protagonist designs.
I have a feeling it might be intentional on his part, since from what it seems leaving FFXV had a big impact on him.
Or it could simply be that he is a parody of himself now, haha.

I really like Nomuras art style, but his designs can get a little samey. I wish he'd come out with stuff similar to what he did in Parasite eve again. Really the stuff he did in the late ps1 era is my favorite art from him.

Can someone post some core designs my Nomura? I'm pretty sure I'm aware of his art if he's the one that love's belts but It would be good to see. If he's done work on some of the characters I think he has then I actually like his work.

The sad thing is, we were waiting for some cool, new gameplay but in the nearly one and a half hour long Active Time Report they didn't show anything. They basically just promoted their merchandising, which FFXV has a lot of, crazy! x__X
Just an hour before the big ATR was a smaller, informal stream on Niconico (that hardly anyone knew of) and there they had new gameplay:
Car customization (with Cindy XD) and a dungeon:

They really improved the game greatly from the Gamescom master version (which was supposed to be the retail version without the delay) till now. And there's still more than another month for optimization left.
On Gamescom you were for example not able to freely steer the car on the roads. You couldn't drive onto the other lane and crash into cars, you couldn't turn were you want and you couldn't just stop were you want. It was very much like traveling in a train, you could just choose the speed. Players of the game were pretty turned off by that. Now you still can't leave the road and dirt roads but you can at least freely steer the car on them, stop where you want, turn were you want and you can even crash in cars and completely ruin the Regalia. That is exactly what we all wanted!
