I wish they'd add more detail to or raise the contrast on the textures for the chocobo tail feathers because it looks like they used a flat pale yellow jpeg I could make in 2 seconds in MS Paint from a lot of the screenshots and gifs I've seen

In Duscae they looked perfectly fine to me. I think they look so flat and undetailed because of video and image compression. This image is of shitty quality too but you do see details:

I wound up getting XIV while it was on sale. Id tried it on ps3 but only gotten to level 10. I come back 3-4 years later on ps4 to find my old guild still exists bit its defaulted to me as leader since I'm the first member to log on in 3 years XD.

So I'm gonna play through ffxiv with my own guild, if anyone wants to join me on ps4 lol

The face and neck feathers look pretty good imo but the back of head and tail feathers look so featureless aside from a pale line down the middle ):

That's a shame the death spell's cool in this game though even though I feel sorry for them animals. ( and Gladio with that lightning )

Liked just for Noctis!☆ It's like each gif I see of him makes me like his character more and more, he's awesome! Can't wait to see him in Dissidia FF too

I've come to like him too. He's not the usual hero but his also not the usual anti-hero. He's something unique imo and I do like how he tries to act mostly cool and guarded but is also easily flustered and sometimes has his emotional outbursts.

Also dat hip movement. XD

My overall impression of it is negative so far unfortunately lol when a game that was announced when I was 13 is still getting delays when I'm 23 it leaves a very very bad taste in my mouth. That and the graphics don't impress me that much and this is a final fantasy game. DA:I looks better (in my opinion) and that's a cross gen game.

Here are some of my positive thoughts on it-

-Game is looking better than it did
-Gladio is hot
-Seems to have a fair amount of content and variety
-Customization looks good
-Summons and giant monsters are pretty impressive with their scale

Wow when you say it like that it really makes it clear just how long it's taken this game to come out! XD
Still it's very close now to coming out so at least we are almost there. The graphics imo in DA:I though to me while nice aren't as nice to me as XV's I like XV's art style more too.

Gladio is super hot though so totally agree with that.

I'm saying DA:I has better textures and vegetation density which you would expect a current gen exclusive final fantasy game to have over a cross gen bioware title. I think Jade thought I was taking the art style into consideration when talking about DA:I having better graphics and I was clarifying that I wasn't

Yeah I thought you were talking about things like the characters and environments ( cause I think they look better in XV ) in general but I understand what you mean now.

What you mustn't forget:
Dragon Age is not an open-world game. It isn't as taxing to the consoles as FFXV or The Witcher 3 are. No wonder it can pump out better textures and vegetation.
When we were trading Beauclair (The Witcher 3) and Val Royeaux (Dragon Age: Inquisition) images on PSN a while ago it was very apparent how much more polished VR looked on the surface. It had indeed so much better textures and detail. But such a small, limited city will never compare to the atmosphere an a lot bigger, bustling and alive feeling city like Beauclair has. Val Royeaux just feels like a pretty stage set to me in comparison.
