Lol If Tyaren let you off with calling Prompto what you did I think he'll let you off with that! XD
And yeah It might just be because they've changed the characters faces a lot during the production of the game so I think once the final game is out and there's time to adjust to the final character models it will be fine.

Regarding the faces:
They still have that anime/manga aesthetic even in the realistic presentation that they are going for. I can see that some might find that mix weird...I like it though.
It's imo not that different to how the girls (plus Eliot) look in DOA5. They are also realistic yet still clearly anime/manga inspired. They didn't completely throw their roots away.

I like most of them, but some I do find weird like the ones in this game!
DOAX3 Kasumi looks weird (it's especially noticeable because she looks just fine in DOA5). Heck, I'd say anyone bar Nyo in that game looks weird.
In DOA5, the first "weird face" that comes to mind is probably Leifang from certain angles. Ryu has the worst case of this.
I thinl FFXV might suffer the same problem, for me.
Cindy's face looks very cute sometimes, but in other angles she looks uncanny.
Same goes for Prompto: the facial expressions you used as avatars are convincing, while other times he looks like he had some bad drugs.
Not all characters give me off uncanny valley vibes though. Gladiolus, Noctis, Ignis and Cid, for example, all look normal and Cid is very impressive.
I don't think the weird vibes I get come from the manga part of the models but from the realistic one (obvs). Realistic faces are just really hard to draw and model.
In regards to older Noctis, it seems like his facial features did not age. Maybe that's why it looks weird. I feel like it might partially be intentional from a symbolic standpoint though.

Older Noctis looks like he could be a different character in general that my problem with it.

I think I might be the only person that doesn't have any problems with how the characters look?
Older Noctis looks like young Regis to me. Again, I'm trying to avoid spoilers and such. I'll be making a Japanese PSN shortly to snag that demo though. My factory reset is just about done on my normal PS4 and then I'll go get the Pro.
Ah, now I understand. Yes, young Noctis looks like an anime doll here and old Noctis more like an actual human. In ten years his nose grew considerably and his eyes shrank. (The color change is story related, I guess. Not to forget the anime hair style changed into one that is actually physically possible. XD

Various leaks say Noctis aged, but when he falls asleep to gather power. This happens in the middle of the game, IIRC.
So you could say his looks changed by taking a nap for 6 years or so.

Yeah...there's nothing wrong with either design but they look way too different for me to think that this is an older Noctis. I was wondering who I was playing in the beginning of the demo (for some reason it fast forwards to a later part of the game). Apparently I was Noctis.
Loving the demo btw even without understanding any of it it's been fun doing side quests and exploring the huge map.
Apparently people are finding a ton of bugs and glitches which is odd because I haven't seen a single one (and I've put 7-8 hours into it).

Everyone's acting like this game is plagued with bugs yet I'm 14-15 hours in and haven't encountered a single one yet so I dont know how they're getting them?
