How are yall liking the game so far?
Someone shared this picture Prompto took:
I got wrecked by one in Duscae. XD It was not a normal cactuar though. It was named a bit different, but I forgot, and it was really aggressive and followed me a loooong way.
I'm really enjoying it. My two saves combined I already played about 20 hours. The vastness of Eos and it's exploration are my favorite aspects of the game so far but I also like the combat. It is fast, flashy and fun.
What I don't like is the presentation of the story. There are too few cutscenes and the cutscenes that are there are too short and lack impact. I hope pace and quality will pick up later.

I'm playing the demo now.....oh my god, the folk music playing in this car pushing sequence is literally warming me up, I love the road trip feeling....Aw fuck, Cindy just walked on screen...-_- The graphics are still really great on my ps4, although my system is humming on that fan something fierce XD

No wonder your PS4 is almost taking off, the game is a lot to handle. It really pushes the current gen to it's very limits.
On another note, the Easy Allies (former Gametrailers guys) video review just went online. There are no spoilers in there, so you don't need to worry about that:
I've always liked their reviews and I'm happy they really like ithe game and even gave it an "Excellent" (4.5/5) rating. O:

Yeah, but it's worth it, the combat is fun, I managed to get a B-C-S from the combat rating fighting the scorpions, and it's kinda funny running past Prompto since his Japanese VA makes funny sounds when you nudge him by accident or accidentally swing a sword near him. XD Just completed my first quest in this expansive desert, might save for the night and hop on tomorrow so I can continue exploring the demo further.Glad you like it!

Then I have another neat trick for you.
The stamina bar is unsightly and distracting, right? Well, you can do without it. You just have to look at Noctis' body language. When he sprints with full power his upper body leans far forward, the moment he loses strength and his upper body shifts into a more upright position, let go of the sprint button and the invisible stamina bar is refilled.

Is that the one in the first map? Because I ventured down there on accident and got wrecked by two demon-like things (pretty sure it wasn't even the actual boss) so I retreated very quickly. XD (All my guys were level 6 at that point and I'm only level 9 right now).
Game is so much fun. Some people feel iffy on the Wait mode but it's been very helpful for me especially on the more difficult monsters like the iron giants which I finally beat for the first time. XD Haven't left the first map yet because there's so much to explore and I like doing side quests for the $$$.

Only a weapon?
Everybody gets Emil's head as an accessory?
Because I have no other idea on what they could do. Sure, only a weapon would feel lame, but that's what's happening in Automata.
Also when does the DLC for XV come out?

Stranded in Duscae with no car or ability to leave the region?? I'm getting Deja Vu lol it especially helps that I haven't beaten the Deadeye side quest yet xD
@UpSideDownGRUNT and anyone for that matter, can we please completely leave out spoilers for at least one week? I just wanted to quote you regarding Prompto's photos and got (thankfully just) minorly spoiled.
Regarding Prompto's photos. Some of us, especially me, were hoping for a true photo mode in the game and I was often like: "Who needs that BS Prompto photo mode?! D:"
Well, it turned out to be an actually really awesome and funny feature. I always look forward to it each day I am about to rest. XD And when I go to rest too early in the day, I'm like: "Hm...should I run or fight a bit more...? Prompto has probably not made 10+ pictures yet. :/"
And sometimes the images he takes are pure genius. By coincidence or is the AI that good? The combat photos and the ones taken in the field are definitely not preprogrammed like the story photos that every player gets.
What sucks is the black bars that the photos now have after the Crown Update. Before they were in full 1080p resolution. I guess they did this to make them look more like photos in an album?
