I beat the game with level 40. ;) I think right now you are on par with the end bosses.
Its less for me and for Ignis and Prompto, they're getting their asses kicked and forcing me to destroy my stock of Hi potions and Hi Elixers... and im broke after upgrading Noctis' weapons lol

How will the new game plus work? Can't you already go back and continue leveling up once you complete it? What will it do?

Yes, after beating the game you can go back to the open world part plus Altissia to do questing to your hearts desire. Contrary to many other RPGs no quest expires but you get a ton more. In this regard the game really is great. Should be standard for every RPG imo.

New game plus probably means starting the game from the start again in a higher difficulty. Maybe you keep some of your stuff and abilities. We will have to see. It will be patched in sometime this month.

Thats exactly what NG+ is, its starting the game from scratch and keeping most if not all pf your high level gear and levels from wgen you beat it.

LR was the first FF to have a NG+ and it added alot of content that wasn't there originally like the ability to upgrade weapons.

I assume FFXV will do something similar, I really hope they add a colleseum somewhere to refight bosses and to add new ones as DLC.

That's great! :D
So how's the Judgment demo? Did you enjoy it? :)
Yeah, it was a lot of fun! My opinion of the game was already high but being able to play it with so much freedom....♡.♡. The battle theme honestly is awesome too, I was hesitant to fight the scorpions at first but once the music came on full swing I swung that sword like there was no tomorrow. XD And the Japanese voices weren't half bad, Cindy and Prompto and Noctis had great VAs, I also took a few screenshots but I'll have to wait to upload them, my GB is fresh out. -_- But yeah, I definitely was pleased by the demo and can't wait for the full product, and of course I plan on eventually getting the DLCs. ;-D I hope they add additional clothes DLC in the future too, Ignis and Gladio I didn't edit because their secondaries were no better than their defaults, Noctis I gave the no jacket Jean and cap attire and prompto I gave the red tank shirt, kinda wish I could remove Noctis's cap but it was good nonetheless.

X-2 and Type-0 had NG+ as well.
In X-2 you had to do this in order to get that damn 100%
In Type-0 it added more missions / story cutscenes / side bosses, and you had to do NG+ twice to get the best weapons.
I think FFXV NG+ will add something, but I'll be doing it regardless, and yeah I want a real Coliseum/Arena as well xD

All of these ideas for dlc sound good, I like the idea of a Colosseum to battle bosses and I definitely would like dlc outfits for them. I hope its supported for a good while.

Also spoilers for post game.

I just finished a hidden dungeon that was very hard to get to and wow it was so insanely hard! I'm so happy I've finished it now.

Regarding the DLC I have to get something off my chest though and I would like to know what you guys think about this. This a spoiler for everyone who didn't finish chapter 13:

Regarding the plotholes of Gladiolus getting his scars, Ignis going blind and Prompto being kidnapped/being Verstaels son:

I see so many people online wondering what all that is about. But isn't it obvious that the announced DLC missions will cover these events?
It's especially clear with Ignis and Prompto. The info we got about their missions fits perfectly with what little we learned in the story about their disappearances.
Ignis went blind while helping to evacuate Altissia. His DLC mission will be strategic in nature, that they already told us.
Prompto fell off the train shortly before reaching the snowy regions. We know from the DLC concept art that he will be in a snowy region in his mission.
Just for Gladio we hardly know anything other than that he met with someone to take care of something. It will probably also explain a plothole we can't connect it to yet. I have a hunch that in it we will also get closure with Cor who just vanished from the story.
Im pretty sure the actual game was meant to have all solo missions in the game, Gladio first, than Ignis, then Prompto and then finally Noctis' solo mission in chapter 13. That seems to make perfect sense to me at least.
The second half of the game felt very short, rushed and unfinished. The absence of these three missions is probably the reason. Didn't they also claim the pure story content was about 40-50 hours long and then we found out is is a good 10-20 hours shorter? I think it's strange that they were so off the mark. But back than, including the 3 missions, the story content was probably really 40-50 hours long. ;)

That sounds like a great idea.

Spoilers.

I'd definitely be interested to see what happened during all of that. I'm hoping characters like Luna and Iris get dlc chapters as well since they did interesting things during the story.

No, that wouldn't be a great idea at all. D: It is a basically a scam, nothing more. A game story should make sense without additional DLC or a movie or an anime. This is a terrible precedent they are setting here.
On one hand It'd be of course great if the story will be more fleshed out eventually but on the other hand people would have every right to feel scammed.

Well yeah removinbg parts of a game to sell them as dlc later is crap, though its a shame they had to cut them out I guess they didn't have the time. If that's what it is though I do think its a good idea for fleshing out the story.

Whoops, those are games I have never played more than an hour of so to my knowledge LR was the first xD

Basically, SE need to realise how popular XIII-2's Boss DLC really was with fans and do something like that again... I'd love to fight past FF bosses and protaganists

That's exactly why I'm waiting for Prompto's DLC, I'm really curious about his real story, and to be honest I couldn't care less about the reason why Gladio got his scar xD
Anyways regarding Altissia and chapter 12 minor [?] SPOILER.
I went back to Altissia as soon as I finished the game to do those hunts, and what??? 1/10 of the map, or even less is actually explorable. I figured out right away that those pieces of lands of the Accordo region were not explorable, or even the full city but I'm still dissappointed, it looks so small if you compare it to the full map. SE fooled me, why they even bothered in drawing the full map lol.
Don't get me wrong, I still like the city and it's still quite big, but it was a wasted opportunity imo :(
Tenebrae is another thing that pissed me off, I was really looking forward to explore it as it's my favourite design-wise but nope, you can look it but not walk in it.

Yes, get lost, Spects! D:

I love this glitch and the fact it happened to him is even more amazing.
Ignis was made for bullying.

Chapters 9-11 are really good. I really liked how epic they felt (particularly 9). I believe I'm on chapter 11 now, has stuff to do with Tenabrae.

Finally started playing yesterday. Put in about 9 hours (don't judge, I'm severely limited on movement and things I can actually do currently haha) and I'm loving it. Playing in High Quality mode (4K) and despite noticing the frame pacing issues the game is fucking beautiful. I'm really loving it but I don't like the focus on food. You can get MASSIVE buffs that make your current level largely irrelevant for most non-story content. Minor hiccup though.

I will say that, because I'm a badass, I decided to keep playing and driving at night. They amp up the daemons quite well. Each one I was like "Yeah, show up, I'll crush you!" and then they finally did. The level 30 Giant that popped up out of the ground took one step towards me and I ran like crazy haha. Combat isn't too bad but projectile-based enemies are often hard to track properly as far as attacks go. Got poisoned quite a few times in Duscae just because they don't really telegraph well enough to pick out of a group. I'm only just getting to Duscae but I did take down Deadeye (a little too easy) so I'm moving pretty quickly I think.

For everyone who had problems to follow the plothole riddled story of the game, here is a great read up:
http://creditconcerto.blogspot.de/2016/12/final-fantasy-xv-in-honor-of-unseen.html

It also reveals the actual bad guy of the story. o__O No joke, the game fails to tell us the actual villain behind it all but the official game guide does.

By the way, the game guide that I preordered weeks before release never even reached me. :/ After I finished the game I cancelled my order.

That's a shame that it never arrived that was a good read though and yeah I agree its a shame these characters some of which are incredibly important either got not enough or no screentime.

Also its got spoilers so beware.
