Lol I can definitely see that happening, I wouldn't even be against it so long as the dlc is good, I'd expect dlc characters and outfits for sure, I want Fran more than anyone but I'd be happy to see Yuna, Paine and Rikku etc. Also I want a FFX-2 stage with "what can I do for you" playing in the background.

Those are great suggestions! Fran and Panelo is a must have DLC. ^w^

@XZero264 Wonder how Jecht will look for Dissidia if he comes back in, also wonder if they'll give him shoes this time. Jecht is the only FF character I know that went on a journey with Braska and Auron fucking barefooted. That guy is a true grown ass man.

I'm pretty sure we already had this conversation, and I already explained how she could still work for me. But... whatever, I'll just keep hoping she'll be included.

I'm actually one of those who's not really fond of FFX-2 Yuna, she's not herself. She tries to be more like Rikku and Tidus (she even states this herself), it's not that I hate her, I just prefer the "original" one, which was not boring at all to me, but to each their own.
Anyways, I was just speaking gameplay-wise, since I would rather use the Aeon moveset than the guns. I think I'll still try her out if she ends up being with the Gunner moveset. xD

I actually would disagree and say that the way Yuna was brought up to be prevented her from having any fun let alone a smile. She's such a tensed up person in X, it's fascinating for her to scream and laugh.

Yuna was who she was supposed to be all along in X-2.

X-2 and Lightning Returns reminds me of DMC2. A sequel that shouldn't be a sequel, but made it into a sequel anyway.

As for Yuna, I liked FFX Yuna much more. There are some cringe elements to her X-2 that isn't downright too crazy and still manageable to some degree.

They put so much effort into doing individual strands only to have the hair end up looking like this

Edit- thought this was the ff thread lol

On the Pro the hair is not that bad. There are still jaggies in some instances...but they are imo bearable:

FFX-2 Is perfect when it's come to dialogue though for just how almost every sentence can be taken out of context as it's own soundbite. I still don't like it's combat though. The main characters seemed fun though. I agree though that she was better in X just for how it was taking a more serious approach to her.

I loved X-2 and that's my 2¢

The hair definitely looks better and but still looks odd in black, the blonde and silver hair look fine

That is the common opinion that I've heard since release. Though DMC2 is not the best comparison because that game was bad in every regard, X2 wasn't even close to being that bad.

I liked the pop, the glamour and the skin a lot more than I liked the crying, the dead people and the gown.

DMC2 was atrocious, but merely the idea of turning things into sequels without really sitting down and providing ways to attract players to play it more or to replay it again because the experience should be grand. If I had to "really" compare the three, X-2 and Lightning Returns would step on DMC2 completely. It's mostly the concept of turning things into a sequel. Should of just turned FF9 into a sequel since people loved that game so much.

FFX-2 music was good, loved their boss themes, I find the gameplay to be standard and not at all bad, story direction had climatic drawbacks that starts off good and then dies midway. Side quests can literally put someone to sleep and of course, lack of more playable characters. Those are my simple gripes really.

First of all about Dissidia... March?? Why March? As if a million other games I want aren't coming out then... Horizon, Nier, Mass Effect(rumour), Tekken(probably), Dangan Ronpa collection, Kingdom Hearts collection!

Hoo boy...

As much as I love LR, I have to admit I wish it wasn't a direct sequel to XIII-2 and was just its own thing with or without Lightning.

The story ended up being piping hot garbage with all kinds of awkward and dumb plot holes and "explanation", plus not to mention the 4Kids anime like ending.

@Chapstick Just wanted to say that I think Nyo's hime cut is better, saw your post in the DLC thread and didn't wanna go off topic. Gentiana has more detail and is more natural looking, but she has the vanilla version of the hime cut, which has three lengths: Bangs, sidelocks and the hair that drops/drapes behind your back. Nyo has less detail as far as strands go but hers is more intricate and has four more lengths: Bangs, sidelocks, a second set of shoulder length sidelocks that she keeps in cuffs, and her hair that drapes behind her back which is much longer than Gentiana's. Just wanted to say my two cents, I'm a huge long hair/hime cut fetishist and plus I know everything there is to know regarding the cut regarding maintenance, how to do it, etc. XD

...Basically the more complex and harder to maintain the hime cut looks in question, the more attractive it looks to me.

Now you speaking my language lol.

FFXIII would be quite grand if it had this over the top world map journey with tons of towns and adding these concepts to make you replay the game again (mostly my opinion on this). While I can understand for games to take into the realistic route, not everything should take heavy consideration for realism. Airship flying later in the game, different towns that provides their own thing to experience the story..like those felt FF and made you want to come back and play it again. They need to cut down on changing the core so much.

By the way, did you see much of Gentiana yet? Where are you exactly?

FFX-2 was actually everything I wanted from the first game I think. Something a little more simple... I guess? Of course I haven't played these games since their initial release period but I found the Sphere Grid in X to be a complete mess. I also remember not liking the trials or a big amount of the characters.

The story was more grand I guess -- but I preferred the intimate experiences with the characters in X-2. I also really appreciated the addition of Paine and Rikku's redesign.

I think that most game stories worry too much about being a blockbuster cinematic experience like Uncharted 4 (yuck) and the collapsing city becomes forefront and the character development (U4's case bad one liners) takes the back seat. I don't think X did this a lot, but it was far more overwhelming to me than X-2 was.

Character development is also where FFXV excels; it actually has character development.

Finally! Someone besides me who actually likes Paine!

Hey, I like Paine too!
Also, FFX-2 battle system was really good imo, much better than X's. Though I would have liked it to have more playable characters too, same for XIII-2 and XV, you know... the more the better.
The amout of playable characters is the first thing I'm concerned about when looking at gameplay only.
