I don’t think it’s a coincidence this happened just after they reported a $33 million loss for the company
I feel bad for anyone that has the season pass, but at least their hard drive space will be spared, I imagine the continued GB sizes of the patches and episodes would begin to be a problem. Plus it's been two years, I think it's about time they gave the game a rest and moved on to different projects

FFXV had to go man. The FFXV project was way too ambitious to handle itself that portions of the game was either cut or turned to separate downloads for people to experience portions of the full game (wait what am I saying, it's not even a full game at this point). FFXV basically took the Shenmue route of trying to absorb in many things that was more than they can handle, except Shenmue legitimately pulled this off and was actually successful and even placed on a earlier hardware which was the Dreamcast. FFXV on the other hand, was far too ambitious for it's own good. They even had a massive budget for it and most of the money was just tossed around with their co-workers like it's a strip club dancing around the tables in Square Enix Cafe.
This shit has been going since more news came about it on releasing it on PS3 which was like over 7 years go. FFXV was a cluster-mess of a massive mountain that's just been sitting there since the day dinosaurs walked the earth and that shit is still there unchipped.

-----------------------------

With the recent content, Episode Ardyn looks incredible. Might be the episode like Ignis where I'm super curious about.

FFXV x FFXIV collaboration looks cool, but again, this stuff is just adding to the pile of stuff that FFXV can't seem to handle, so just throw it in there with no point of the consequences. This collaboration might of had potential into something big and great than just a standard little episode and even I'm not too overly hype about it. Might be something I'd break on PC for fun shit.

This announcement somewhat of a mix. Disappointing that Aranea and Luna was cancelled and yet they expected me to feel some type of sadness for the Noctis episode. Like this man already has the full campaign, I don't need an episode for this kid.

I lost interest in this game when they changed from Versus XIII to XV. I was looking forward to seeing Stella (from Versus) but she had to be cut. And also when I see the party run towards the enemy without holding weapons. Kinda feels like a fist fight to me.

I watched Kingsglaive to give the game/series a chance. Loved the movie. Haven't bought the game though as I cannot spend many hours in an RPG anymore.

The last powerful game they made as the great final product was FF12. Things have not been the same after that game.

If this is a sign that FFXV has to go, then it has to go. Work on FF16 already and just finish the FFVII remake. Executives pushed Tabata too hard that even he couldn't handle it.

l0l maybe if his team stopped working on six games at once, FFXV probably would have been a great product too *gets shot*

So I also heard that the bits of information regarding PC cancelled via update or something with the workshop tools. Someone mentioned that the dungeon/map/level workshop editor will not arrive for PC and being cancelled. This was what I was hype about for FFXV and the second reason why I even got the PC version. My main reason was to mod the game and do stuff that is not naturally possible on the consoles as well as PC master race.

If this is true about the dungeon+map editor not being a thing (which Square themselves said they would add one) then it won't be long where i'll go from sometimes play > hardly ever played anymore.

Well this, explains why the comrades stuff that was supposed to come out months ago never happened, also literally the ONE episode I wanted in season 2 got scrapped... I'm beyond words.

What happened today. Pink is FFXV and black is Square Enix:

What the hell is going on over there? The game actually sold really well, more than 10 million already, and Tabata had just founded the new studio at SE just to now resign and leave altogether? Hrm...??

I wasn't planning on getting this season anyway but I was interested in seeing more of Ariana and Luna and learning more about their characters since they weren't shown much, But that won't be happening now I guess.

I'm ready for them to move onto the next game, FF7RE/FF16. ( though even If FF16 is revealed within the next 2 years it still wouldn't be a decade until it's release. )

Luna aka not Stella will remain an empty shell forever now.
What an awful way to end such a trainwreck of a development history, and that after almost turning it around.

On a more positive note:
Young Verstael in the Ardyn Trailer looking exactly like Puronputo. :3 Completely forgot that he's actually one of his clones. XD

That reminds me we did not have a Puronputo appreciation post with so many gifs it breaks everybody's phone for a long time.... ;)

On a more positive note, the Dissidia Arcade 3rd Anniversary event will be here much earlier than expected... in fact, it's less than 2 days from now.

Starting at 10PM EST, the event kicks off with the tourney finals, which should take approximately 9 hours to finish... just in time for the usual update announcements at 7AM EST, where a new character (Yuna) is guaranteed to be revealed, along with balance adjustments and a rework for a random character (or characters).

Me too, in fact they NEED to work on the remaster for that FF game with Cloud and Tifa xD I feel like the reason they have yet to show anything new is because they were plagued with new FF XV DLC obligations but now they can sort of string it along since its been two years xD
