It's not taking a shot, it's just Harada being himself. He's just trolling and signed the poster. That's pretty much it. Not like he wrote "Buy Tekken instead!"

Also, the console versions of TTT2 are slightly less impressive than the arcade version, though it still looks pretty good. My only real problem with Tekken's look is the same one I've ALWAYS had: parallax scrolling. Holy shit I hate those effects. I was livid when I saw it start to creep into SCV.

I'm in Japan. I don't watch any form of television, and when I do at work, all commercials are "Armed Forces Network" commercials that advise me to not drink and drive and such. So if you think I'm going off of advertisements, you're wrong. I'm going by gameplay, of which I've experience both firsthand, unlike you... TTT2, DEFINITELY has better graphics. Stop being such a blind fanboy and try to expand your brain.

Yet the guy who has both a TTT2U cab in his office and playable builds of DOA5 says otherwise. Who are we to believe?

Oh man AFN, I actually miss those stupid commercials. And who doesn't bail when they start hearing the music? Especially oversea's when they play the host countries anthem and yours so your ass is stuck out there forever lmao. Oh the memories.

Dude, I run my fucking ass off if I hear the initial whistles. Japan's anthem is like 5 fucking minutes long and it SOUNDS like they are fucking ready for war. I got caught in the middle of the street the other day, and some civilian didn't give a fuck, he almost fucking hit me because he didn't feel the need to stop.

The arcade version doesn't even run in HD and still has slowdown(on hardware better than current HD consoles to boot). Every character has the same model, more characters on screen drop the resolution even more, the cloth/skin/lighting effects are less detailed than DOA5. DOA5 takes everything a level above Tekken Tag 2 as far as visuals go.

Console version is especially fucked. Resolution drops like a sack of shit when you call in a partner.

Anyways Harada is just trolling.

The console version is even worse. I haven't seen this much aliasing since the PS1 days. Game is still fun, but it's a far cry from looking like DOA5. It isn't even the best looking Namco fighter. SCV and the Naruto fighters have it beat handily.

Well as long the gameplay is better than the previous Tekken, thats all that matters to me. :)

Mostly because of MS ridiculous "no multi-platform game can look better on the PS3" policy, meaning that Namco has to dumb down the PS3 version even if it's running on practically the same hardware as the arcade.

What a weird policy, since some games do look better on PS3 according to lens of truth and digital foundry, albeit slightly.

I heard Tekken Tag 2 on arcade was running on more powerful PS3 hardware. The main difference between the 2 is resolution and AA. Don't know what happened there.

I would definitely say the cabinets here in Japan have a lot more flare and eye popping graphics when compared to the console version. One would assume it's just due to more processing power on the cabinets than consoles.

Can't really dwell upon the comparison between DOA5 and TTT2 since I've yet to physically see and play DOA on a relatively good television. However, I will say that despite being toned down, TTT2 still is a pretty looking game and is fun to play after a long day at work. Personally speaking, I'd rather play Virtua Fighter than TTT2 simply because gameplay feels more fluid in VF.

And since Pai is in now, I have every more reason to play DOA and VF more frequently. I'm going to try and convince Shiwa Pai to play DOA lol

Well, most multi-platform games tend to be very close in terms of graphics these days. From what I recall with T6, the PS3 version would have looked exactly like the arcade and therefore would have overshadowed the 360 version.

I will have it for both consoles, but due to Season's Beatings I won't be online for either console until at least a week after release. I'll also be on PS3 mainly.

I have not experienced this fanboyism. I know a lot have chosen the 360 because that's how they got into DOA and spent the most time with, same goes for PS3 (DOA2HC), but there are just as many who will be buying both and playing on both equally like myself.

Its good to know that people will buy DOA5 on both systems. PS3 & Xbox 360 are equally the best and the wii u will be the same. :)
