Help organizing a tournament

I forgot to mention, I got this plan last night which is to print some flyers to advertise the tournament in case it does get approved. Many owners and employees of several well-known gaming stores around my place are my friends or know me so I called some and visited others and they all gave me a thumbs-up about having several dozen flyers in their stores and give them to customers no matter what they buy. With this I think I could make some more people interested.

Ah, of course, I'd have to either buy a domain for a forum or open a Facebook group to organize meetings, practice sessions and things in the city and the rest of the country. I really hope this gets approved.

Just use a facebook group, and put it on the flyer

How long did it run though? You guys had a really big turnout, so I imagine it ran forever, I just know every other game does first to 2 for all early brackets, and it does fine for both time and learning to adapt. Personally I would go with first to 2, 60 seconds, normal health, and the first to 3 in finals, but thats just me. If Sorwah has had good results with first to 3, ya know, I'm not gonna argue.

I understand your take on it, but apparently fg have been starting to do same match set across the tournament lately. Including sc5 and marvel. Going best out of five was something we discussed at the end of doa4s life.

Like I said Sir Wah (see what I did there?), if you got good results, I ain't one to argue, and if it becomes the norm its how I'll hold my tournies as well.

Keep in mind that if you find yourself pressed for time in regards to the tournament, it is fine to do it 2 of 3 up to G.Finals as you intended. Just be consistent with whichever you choose. Like, don't start with 3 of 5 sets, then halfway through the tournament, change to 2 of 3 in order to "speed things up".
