What is Hit Confirming:

Hit Confirming is checking to see if your particular attack is successful, and using that gained info to determine the type of followup you will use. The purpose of this is to controll what types of attacks you use in particular situations.

Benifits and Consequences:

Consequence for not hit Confirming: I knowticed some players will do a particular string after doing a certain attack, reguardless if the attack was sucessful or not. This will often result in their attacks getting blocked, and being placed in a disadvantage.

Benifits For Hit Confirming: If these same players hit confirmed, he/she could have went into string manipulation to buffer the effects of being @ a disadvantage. Or, if the attack was successful, he/she could have used a launcher or more damaging knockback attack as opposed to using the string he/she is conditioned to use.

being able to hit check is esential in any fighting game. while it can b tough it will get u beat fast at higher levels if ur unable to tell if u were blocked or hit and if ur hit was a nh/ch/hch. while just being able to tell if u got a hit or were blocked can help u tell if ur at an advantige/disadvantige being able to tell exactly wat kinda hit will help u use the most effective/damaging strat/move.

a quick example of how the diff type of hits can drasticaly change how u use even the same followup Zacks 3k/pp(k)/6p(k). that kick produces a diff stun on every hit forcing u to react differently

on Block - it is imposible to counter the first 3 kicks if not delayed. either free cancel after the first 3 kicks fo small disadvantige or use the huge amount of delay ur alowed to try and bait an attack with the next kick or 2.
NH - its a 3 in 1 starting with the 2nd kick. ur oponent only has about 4 frames to counter the 2nd kick. so dont delay the next 3 kicks and free cancel afterwards for free chip damage and some frame adv.
CH- free cancel imediatly after the first kick for decent frame adv or delay any kicks u use following it. its very simple to counter the followup kicks so baiting a counter so u can hch throw them is a good technique.
HCH - pushes them back makeing it even easier to counter any followup kick. u can still delay any folowup kicks and bait a counter but ur best option is to free cancel after the first kick for more frame adv then a ch.

in water the first kick causes a sitdown stun on nh and voids ur 3 in 1. making this a great mid poke and making it unnecesary to do any followup kick wat so ever. ur ch and hch stun also get better after the first kick making a quick free cancel after the first kick on hit ur best option. hit checking here is important so u know wat kind of stun u have and if they can slow escape it or r forced to hold. ur nh stun giving u competly differnt followup options then ur ch/hch.
