How to extract/rip the original audio files, sound effects, voice clips, BGM music soundtracks, story mode cutscenes in English and Japanese from Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, PC Steam Windows version.


EXTRACTION
1. kvs-tools https://github.com/Hairo/kvs-tools/releases/download/0.1/kvs_tools.zip
USAGE: extract kvs_tools.zip inside the game folder DATA or DATA2, drag'n'drop those game files one by one into kvs_extract.exe
.kvs files will be extracted in a newly created out sub-folder (warning: many files share the same name once extracted, e.g. 0.kvs, but the tool doesn't care and will keep rewriting the same one :\)
ALTERNATIVE USAGE: works from the command line too. EXAMPLE.BAT file you can create and run:

USAGE: extract lnk_reshuffle.7z anywhere, run start.bat, locate the game.exe file it's asking, go to Asset Browser -> type xws in the top search bar -> extract all
.xws files will be extracted in a newly created out sub-folder inside lrs-5.19

PLAYBACK
1. foobar2000, the audio player https://www.foobar2000.org/
2. vgmstream, the plugin https://vgmstream.org/
Once both are installed, just drag'n'drop the previously extracted .kvs and .xws files into the foobar2000 window to play them.
If you need, you can convert them to more common formats with right click -> Convert (FLAC recommended for best quality)

WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! It took a few years, but I can finally extract Hayabusa's lines and attack sounds. I did some replacement recordings with my voice for DOA6 to replace Dave B. Mitchell. I wanna do the same for Troy Baker as a test, but I need a little bit of assistance to do so. How do you recompile the extracted audio back into a single xws file?
