I know most of the stuff is on Xbox Live...I have an Original Xbox 360 and I do not know how to get Xbox Live.... and I would like to know so I can join the Online Tournaments and such. I am new to online gaming (I just usually play with versus,story,training) But Ya I would like to know please help me thanks !
I live in California (so don't make me get items not available near me xD)

Get a XBL live subscription card or pay with a credit online. Get whatever you can afford; 3 month or 12 month. Why ask this question here when you could've called Microsoft and got this information?

First you need internet access. This requires a modem.

Next you need to share your internet with other devices. This requires a router.

Then you connec the router to your xbox. This requires ethernet cable or a wireless adapter for your xbox.

Lastly you need a subscription. Buy a prepaid card at bestbuy or pay by credit card drectly on your xbox.

All these things are available in california because all things exist in california.
