He hit him with P+K, which probably has lighter tracking because it counts as a jumping attack. Why it crushed Bass's mid attack and put him to his back is beyond me though.

It evaded Bass' 2P.

However, it should be noted the changes to the CB system. Did anyone see a Power Blow? Anyone? I think there was only one Critical Burst in the entire set and that was Jann Lee vs Hayate #2. However, the player didn't seem to realize they had a Power Blow available to them and instead attempted a short juggle, probably because the current game doesn't allow for Power Blows to occur as often due to Critical Bursts not being used as often.

Rig vs Bass, Rig used a CB near the end.

Thanks, I stand corrected: TWO times in the entire set of matches... and still no PBs.

The question is did they just do 2 CBs cuz they could get damage easier via sitdown and then launch or throws etc. or are CBs just way too hard to achieve cuz they need too many hits to set them up...

2:24 of the Jann vs Hayate #1 match makes me sad...

Edit:

2:30 of the same video Hayate does a his BT throw and Jann Lee turns around immediately....I don't like seeing that -_-

It's because they became pointless.

I don't think anyone would even think of doing a PB even after getting a CB. People are just not used to this mechanic.

Matt, what's Bass' best combo after 41236T_ launch?

Thanks for the upload, Bryan. I'm really happy with the changes so far.

From what I'm told it depends on weight class and NT/CT/HCT. Bryan I'm sure has had time with the build so he was maximizing it with what looks like 6PK 6KP 66 2H+P.

Okay, but I'm sure people will figure out better combos once the game comes out.

or if Tom Brady gets his hands on the current build.

Cool. So assuming it wasn't just because it glitched, it could potentially mean that Eliot actually has a low crushing move now. A small but significant change for him. The only other one he has is his 236K, but that's hardly useful.

Yeah Dr.Dogg mentioned her being one of the best. He said she improved a lot since the E3 build. Cant wait to play as her. I like all her evasion and her play style.

Yeah, I read his notes on Christie. I had no idea he mentioned that she improved from the E3 build though. If that's the case, then great! :D

I expect a lot of players to use Christie in competitive play, but to be honest all the characters I tried were so much better than before.

For example, Kokoro is amazing. I love playing with her, but hate playing against her. In DOA5 (E3 build again, since that's all I can go on), she's so confusing to fight when she's in the hands of a good player.

Her attacks go high medium low..then low high medium...then high bait throw...high medium low again. Jesus Harrison Ford Christ! But she gets the job done. Kokoro players should be very happy with her indeed. I played against Emperor Cow's Kokoro, and he is an annoying pain when he plays with her.

The others from my experience were all better as well. Bayman seems quicker and deals hefty damage. Also his holds are fantastic. But I didn't mess with him as much. Zack still retains his sense of humour, but he backs it now with a solid range of attacks, and I felt he wasn't as exposed with his moves as before. I could be wrong since I was never a Zack player, but that's what I felt.

My greatest joy of joys is that Tina has become an amazing threat. I don't know if it's because she has better frame data (does she?), or what, but her offensive holds seem more effective, her throws deal good damage, her combo potential is much better than DOA4. I could string combos with her that I couldn't imagine before. I absolutely love what they did with her.

Anyways, sorry for the long post. Just wanted to share my 2 cents.
