Lately I've been Wondering what the FSD community internet speed and how much there paying for it this is my Speed

Not going to post the full picture because I don't feel like hosting it anywhere, but my download was 56.72Mbps and upload was 5.82Mbps. Not sure why my upload is so low at the moment but it's likely because my normal servers for speedtest.net are somehow not showing up all of a sudden. Had to go with a server that was much farther away than normal. Either way, I pay about $80 for just internet. No way am I paying for a landline and I get free cable through my complex, not that I watch it frequently.

It's RM250 which translates to about US$78. Lucky for me, I have unlimited bandwidth.

I was referring to some of the guys in this thread. I remember reading somewhere that in Japan the price for internet is like $20 for 100down/20up. We are clearly getting fucked by our ISP's.

Time Warner is indeed cow doo and will only get worse if/once Crapcast takes over.

Anyway I am forced to deal with them as my only other option (for lack of a better word) is Clearwire aka Crapwire. I pay Time Warner 50 dollars for 30 up and 5 down and it frequently craps out. I don't pay them for TV - that's what Hulu Plus is for.

They told me I'm on a grandfather plan and could up everything but I have the feeling that they will fuck it up again. Took them a month to get it stable but even that dips.

We are. A buddy of mine lives in Japan and they let him pay like 100-200 upfront, he gets speeds of 100+ mbps download/upload for like 20 bucks a month.

might upgrade to 50/50 later on
