Is It Weird That I Prefer The English Voices?

I like to leave the English voices on for the most part. Most them I like or can deal with absolutely fine. I think the ones for Kasumi, Mila, Tina, Kokoro, Christie, Rig and Bass all did pretty good jobs. I also kind of like Alpha's voice too, but maybe that's because it doesn't sound like her intro noise was made by a hoover this time round (or that SHA business).

The only ones I have problems with really are Eliot and Leifang. Eliot's doesn't have bad voice acting skills, but the voice isn't really him - if Christie gets her Queen's English, where's Eliot's? And Leifang...nothing more needs to be said about that. Except that I've gotten used to it what with her being my sub and all.

Also, sometimes the English line delivery in story mode winds up being rather cringe-worthy. Off the top of my head, "by the way is that girl your messenger now" was just completely flat and didn't even sound like he was asking a question.

I found the Eliot omission curious, too.

Idk, English still isn't selling it for me. The Japanese voices are too memorable. Also, Mila sounds 100% perfect in Japanese.

As a kid, yes. Moved to China, which doesn't itself explain the American accent in English. (I had to Wiki that, by the way; this story isn't coherent enough on its own terms to remember in any detail)
well, if he wasn't raised around people that used it then it would make sense that he wouldn't pick up the accent. people aren't born with accents. they just pick it up from hearing and learning from people that use them.

I'm sure in reality he would have an accent. He was born and raised in England before moving to Hong Kong to learn how to fight. So why wouldn't he have picked up an accent? Not that I personally care about the subject at hand just making sense of it.

It would depend on how long he lived in england. If he was raised for most of his childhood in china, he probably wouldn't have an accent.
