Plus getting popular with an active tournament scene generally leads to FREE advertising via streams, player popularity, and word of mouth. Sounds to me like TN took a "gamble" in this regard because .... well, why not!? Why bother trying to advertise on TV when you're likely to just get crushed or overlooked due to the bigger budgets of games like Halo, COD, ACIII, etc.
I rarely watch T.V.. Except for a handful of series that come on cable, I'm mostly on Netflix and like others have said Social Media seems to be where its at.
