Judgments Vs. Opinions

I'd like to know what you all think about them, are they different or are they the same?

The two words are funny, the definiton of judgement is drowned with the word "opinion", and the definition of opinion is drowned with the word "judgement". I have spoken to quite a few people about the words, and I have to come my own conclusion about it. They are however you want to precieve them.

People who practice yoga seem to have this debate quite often, and I have heard the words be broken down to a science.

In different settings they have a more sound explanation i.e. in a court room a judge makes or gives judgements and not opinions. But this is not always the case, I am talking about every day life, and the situations we are in.

I personally don't believe in opinions, I believe that all people make judgements and only say "in my opinion" before or after a statement, to seem non-judgemental.

The judgement is motion the hammer makes when it strikes.

The opinion is the imprint it leaves.

The fact is the truth that eludes the hammer.

I should charge for this.

When I think of an opinion, I think of something that I understand to be highly relative, and subjective. An opinion is something I know is not a fact, absolute truth, or a reality I expect others to accept...even though I may find it agreeable, or valid on a personal level. (Insert Actress) is really hot. (Insert Musician) has the greatest album of all time.

When I think of a judgement, I think of something that I have concluded to be a fact or a relative "truth" regardless of my ability to argue it's validity. I think religious/theological beliefs and creeds are in the realm of "judgements".

Some people make judgements about things that other people consider opinions and visa versa. The difference between an opinion and a judgement for me is conviction. Judgements are beliefs with far greater convictions than opinions. Judgements can change, but the new judgement will still carry more conviction than an opinion.

opinion and judgment are the same and only differ due to its passive and aggressive undertones.
