Latest Tekken Tag Tournament 2 trailer: Another jab at DoA5?

No, Harada has been doing damage control for SFxTK out the ass load.

I saw one of the evo champions throw the the trophy in the garbage. That's the SFxTK community for you. Sold well? It shipped a million less than Capcom wanted and barely sold 400k worldwide.

Fact is less and less people are playing and buying Tekken over the years. Even the Tekken community is aware of their declining numbers at every level.

1 your gullible to believe the trophy troll makes me believe you listen to anything people say about SFxT....

2 again, where your getting your info from? it sold 1.4 million bro...

3 Tekken always has been consistent, something DOA hasn't been...Tekken has a Arcade Presence, something DOA doesn't have, and have Good Community Staff like Filthy Rich and Mad Catz MarkMan who help put on community events and tournaments for their games.

Say what you will about Tekken's sales declining but fact i think your trying to use that to cover up the fact the last console DOA fighting game came out 6 years ago was rejected by it's own community and died soon afterwards. I like DOA but I know that It needs to get involved with it's community to survive after the Casuals put the game down...

Lol I'm not hurt, I'm using fact to prove you wrong because your spouting shit with no sources thats just plain wrong as I pointed out. The only reason I used VGchartz as my source was because it was the HIGHEST number for DOA I could find. Tekken isn't declining in any sense, as I said before, you're just an idiot. You're even using a game, SFxT and calling it a Tekken game when most Tekken players don't play it because 1. its a 2D fighter, not a 3D and 2. its a straight garbage game. Even SF4 players don't play the shit. Thats like saying Street Fighters numbers are declining because SFxT didn't sell well, which you also can't say. The game isn't SF or Tekken, but its ESPECIALLY not Tekken.

Next you'll be telling me Soul Calibur is Tekken because you can pick Devil Jins fighting style. Tekken Hybrid also isn't a NEW Tekken game... its a movie, a HD remake of TTT and a demo of TTT2, no one would EVER consider that a new game and compare its sales to a new game. So I should compare SF2: HD Remix's sales to KoF XIII's?

Why don't you site some sources and show some real numbers if you want to present an argument, if not why don't you suck my dick?

I already mentioned all sources for actual sales, all of which are used by the indistry and easy to verify. As far as the brand name is concerned, then anyone with 2 cents can infer that it's in a huge decline.

Lots of silly excuses being thrown around, but failing to realize that the brand is waning. In the past you called have rolled shit int toiler paper, called it Tekken and it would have sold. It's not the case now though.

I've seen SFxTk GF where both champions agree to stop playing and just split the pot. It's THAT bad, lol. It's extra money for SFIV players. That's all it is.

Those are shipped to retail numbers, which were supposed to be 2.5 million. But because the game barely sold 400k to consumers it would not be getting another shipment.

I'm not covering anything up, my argument has little to do with DOA and more to do with Tekkens waning popularity. the fact that you have to use a "dead" series to make Tekken look better speaks volumes on its own.

I guess, considering your the one getting bent out of shape when I mention the fact Tekken has a solid competitive community....something that you know goes hand in hand with the games popularity. I mean for fuck sakes the game has it's own competitive show in Korea...Tekken Busters. It's Internationally Popular...DOA is popular where?

You were the one desperately trying to tie tekken to SFxT(a capcom developed game) to this debate, and when you fail at shitting on that game(because what hasn't been said already), you try to make it turn it around saying Tekken must be bad when comparing it to a "dead" series....well who's fault DOA is dead in the first place *looks around*....yeah I think you know you lost this one.

I'm done arguing with him, he spouts absolute bullshit and calls it fact. Back on topic, Tekken doesn't need to take shots at DOA, DOA doesn't have anything to compete with it.

If you feel DOA has nothing to offer, then why come to this site? I sometimes wonder why this site even exists.

I didn't say it didn't have anything to offer, it doesn't have anything to compete with Tekken with. I come here for nostalgia, and because I was one of the pioneering players. I invented 90% of Lei Fangs DOA4 combos, was a top player through most of the scene, and although it probably sounds stupid, was the leader of the top DOA4 clan at the end of its days (aiuR, which included NinjaCW, A Skeleton, Highguy, Allen Paris, Mr. Wah, Pistol Pete X, Preheated Cigar)

I think DoA has something to offer. I'm around to see if DoA5 lives up to my expectations. If not, there's tons of shit to play and I'll leave this community to its arguments about whether or not a person should be rewarded with additional damage for hitting their opponent.

I wish I could play Tekken. It's just so hard to get into, because of how clunky it feels. If the characters moved and combo'd as smooth as DOA games, I'd play Tekken all day every day. Not to mention I'd be playing a game super popular with which I could watch streams regularly and have a huge community to play with.

I hope by some miracle DOA can attain that popularity. The only fighter I like :(

Tekken is a lot more fun than DOA, and if you watch pro's play or play at a competitive level it doesn't feel clunky or look clunky at all... It does have a very steep learning curve, but with its mass popularity I'm sure someone could show you the basics. When you're playing Tekken it feels amazing to be rewarded for doing the right things, but not so much that it just fucks your opponent, even on the defensive or when you make a mistake you can make up for it, but you definitely get punished for mistakes, it just makes sense.

Yeah, I've watched high level play and it doesn't look clunky at all. I know it's more of me being a scrub at it, but from day 1 of getting DOAU2 I was already hooked with how smooth it felt. That, and I liked how there was only one punch and kick button.

I could learn the combos in half the time and focus more on the characters spacing and what not. And rarely mess up.

I do like Jin and Lei's fighting style. I also noticed how Tekken has all these movies and CG. They certainly promote their games. Where as DOA only has some terrible live action movie.

They both got hit pretty hard there...sadly enough, they are making another Tekken live action movie...\

but ya, Tekken takes time to grow on you but it's not really clunky. Play Alisa and you have the best movement in the game...hahaha that and shes really easy to learn.

I don't think that DOA movie had anything to do with Team Ninja or Tecmo, did it? Though, I don't like Tekken, I thought that CG movie looked cool, wish DOA or NG had a CG movie.

neither was the Tekken one, still it has the franchises name on it...so someone gave it the ok(Harada pretends the movie does not exist). However I think the DOA one was posted on their site...so idk.

About Blood Vengeance, it was alot of hit and miss, more so if you like/disliked the cast of the movie but overall it was good/passable but by all means was not terrible. That CG movie did eat alot of money and Hybrid/DVD sales barely landed them a decent profit, but again Bamco is a big enough company to do such things, compared to KT....seeing a CG movie being developed wouldn't be cost effective for them...and there is no real demand for it either.
