But this is a different matter that is related to the popularity of the character on the basis of TN's promotion (but not only): the female characters are alwasys been the most popular even when they were the minority in the roster.

TN could also decide to add only male characters in the sequels of the series, but if the spotlight will remain on the women (from the cover of the game to the DLC released) they will continue to be always the most recognizable, and this indipendently from who is in the roster.

Then of course the first step for preventing it is to add male characters XD But what I'm saying and that this alone is not enough for fixing the problem that you stated.

I wouldn't mind Muramasa, give him Praying Mantis style would be awesome fit.

Also did Hayashi say those are the last 2 characters? Could be possible for one more if hey remove one of those random selects. Hopefully they do add one more and make it a male fighter lol.

I'm a little confused. Is that box art real? If so, who is that character with the sunglasses? What time is the KT panel? If this box art will be revealed at the panel and if that character is new, they will likely be revealed at the panel as well

I believe it is a fan work, but I'm not too sure. Truthfully, I googled DOA5:LR.

And this was exactly the fate of his first incarnation Kamui, eliminated even before to enter in the first game XD

However the fame of the old NES NG wouldn't be enough, the credit go to Itagaki and TN for having decided to make a remake of it.

Of course that alone would never be enough. Heck, it would actually be harder on TN's part to promote any of them when the things that always leave on the mind of a common gamer when it comes to DOA are boobs and bikinis.
