Rig and Mila are my new mains. Lisa will be behind them, with Bass possibly being my casual character. I may also look into a VF character who could potentially join Rig and Mila. Helena will be my online character. I might also use her offline if I don't care whether or not I lose or I'm not playing anyone good.

Rig is not top tier. The VF characters are top tier. Rig isn't even the best DOA character. He's solid, but I'd probably put him at upper mid tier. MAYBE... maybe the bottom of top tier, but that's a bit of a stretch.

Rig is not top tier. The VF characters are top tier. Rig isn't even the best DOA character. He's solid, but I'd probably put him at upper mid tier. MAYBE... maybe the bottom of top tier, but that's a bit of a stretch.

Never really had a main, just a mix of poorly played favourites - Leifang, Tina, Kokoro, Helena. I'd like to get better, so will probably need to settle on someone to main, but there's too many choices to pick one this early. :)

Thanks, but the Rig you saw at GVN was my 2-day old Rig that I only picked up when I decided I was going and none of my real characters were in the GVN build. So a combo thread for him right now would consist of about 3 moves. lol

Wait until Season's Beatings and you should see a proper Rig. Although I may also break him out if I play at all during the launch party (which will be streamed). If someone can beat my Rig you might even get to see my Mila. ^_^

After launch I may add to his combo thread, but I won't be online much until after Season's Beatings so I expect it to already be pretty fleshed out. Not to mention the guide will have most of my combo options anyway.

Sounds good to me. Where will the launch party be streamed? And also will it be archived?

Was it intentional for the VF5 characters to be designed better than the rest of the cast?

It doesn't look like anybody is dropping their main, and I'm not doing it either. DOA4 my main characters I went to was Bass and Ayane, and they will liking be the same for DOA5. But for secondary characters, I plan on playing with Eilot, Helena, Lisa, Brad, Lei Fang, Rig, and Mila!

I will still continue to use my boy Zack and I was going to main Tina but now, I am going to be maining my new girl, Mila!!!

I use to main Hitomi, but I'm sick of her. Probably gonna main either Eliot, Brad, or Mila if she got some kicks...

Woot! I'm so glad! Just out of curiosity, does the launch party tournament have a date yet? I hope it's before the game comes out because no one will watch it LOL, be to busy playing DOA5 :D

Also, I have NO clue who I want to main, etc...everyone looks sooo fun and interesting this time around again.

In DOA4, I mained Tengu and Leon, and sometimes Helena. In DOAD I exclusively used Tengu. Since Tengu and Leon are gone, and Helena is garbage, I have to find new mains. I'm most looking forward to Tina, Bayman, and Brad Wong. I'm also interested in Kokoro, Hitomi, Rig, Eliot, Sarah, and Bass. I'll still give Helena a shot too, but I highly doubt that I'll stick with her. I'm also very interested in seeing how Alpha-152 and Mila play. Naturally I will try every character in the game though, and see who clicks.

Those throws were awesome. It'd certainly be a shame to never see them again. I'd also hate to lose his :4::6::F+P::4::F+P::2::F+P::426::F+P: , and to a lesser extent his :3::3::F+P::2::F+P::2::F+P: . I really hope that Mila uses another grapple style. I'd like to see Krav Maga.

I've only mained Helena and Lisa in past DOA games. Mila is nothing like either of them in terms of play style. However, when I play Mila, I don't feel like I'm playing DOA4. This is not the feeling I get when I play as Helena or Lisa.

I don't know what Team Ninja has planned, but I was not going to do any more. When I finish the guide next week I guess I can look into doing more videos, but it really depends on how I feel. I'm putting in about 18 hours a day to get the guide done in time, which means I'm going to want a break from the game before it releases. Not sure how long that break will be, but no real sense in doing Helena videos a week before the game releases.

We'll see though...
