New Costumes of Last Round

A new casual DLC set would really have been so cool... Well, I guess, we have to wait for Last Round for that. Then we get the contest costumes, which are mostly casual and then they have to save some costumes for Last Round DLC. We are mostly through all the fetish stuff by now. Or do you think, Last Round will give us even skimpier nurses, maids, students, police officers, bunnies...?

So was it confirmed every character would receive a new costume ( for free ) with the release of LR? I'm not talking about future DLC packs. Just new costumes that come with the purchase of LR. And if so, is it multiple like with 5 > 5U or is it just 1 fan made costume? ( This also excludes pre-order bonuses since that is still technically DLC. )

Nothing was ever verbally stated I don't think. They just started showing costumes for people and people just assumed that everyone would be getting at least 1 fan outfit. They did say "over 400" costumes will be available in LR without DLC. So, if we do the math...

Actually at the product information section on the official site, together with the "over 400" outfits now there is another line stating "(Including 31 new costumes)": http://teamninja-studio.com/doa5/lastround/us/productInfo.html

Everyone is supposing that TN here is mentioning 31 new fan-made outfits for all the cast of DoA5U excluding Nyotengu (but I believe possible that the VF guests could get their last proper outfit from VF5FS excluding their swimsuit).

Yeah, I'm also pretty sure, every character will get a new costume, just like with DOA5U. I'm also sure, these 31 new costumes are mostly contest designs (some might change the original intended character and some might be designed by TN though (school girl-Alpha).
I think, it was an amazing idea and a huge thank you-present to us fans, to really recreate a contest costume for every character and to directly integrate them as bonuses into Last Round, not just have them as optional DLC. I wouldn't have dreamed about that, when the contest was running.

I know, this probably gets old, but let's post all the so far revealed contest costumes here too. It fits the thread perfectly:

All my congratulations to all artists who have their design in the game already. It is a dream came true, indeed. Is the dream that makes me participate in first contest and I can imagine how happy you feel about it. And all costumes, so far, look AWESOME (well, maybe I don't like Alpha's one, but because I don't like schoolgirl uniforms and I don't like Alpha. Still I think it's cool Alpha got an outfit).

Revealed so far: Eliot, Marie Rose, Kasumi, Ryu, Ayane, Hayate, Mila, Tina, Leifang, Kokoro, Brad, Alpha, Phase4, Hitomi (14 characters)
To be revealed at some point: Rachel, Momiji, Leon, Bayman, Helena, Chrisite, Rig, Lisa, Zack, Bass, Jan Lee, Jacky, Sarah, Pai, Akira, Gen Fu and Ein (17 characters).

Indeed, they do. Rachel's recolor looks horrid though. Like something a design n00b would do in the character customization of Tekken or Soul Calibur. The saturation hurts my eyes. x__X

I don't like too much the colors on Phase-4 pants but for the rest I found pretty nice all of them now that I have a better view: I can't believe that a recolour pack it would have appeared so good to me, the only shame is that these aren't completely new outfits.

The best of the pack is Nyotengu's one in my opinion.

I wonder why TN decided to make a pack with black/red/gold recolours. Is the colour scheme relevant to something? Or were they just in the mood for making random recolours down at the TN offices.

I like Rachel's. It has a feeling of a Demon But it could be better with a darker red maybe. And it's nice to have an alternate color for her default outfit.

Still, I really don't see the point if you have to choose between this pack or Ninja2015+4 Bikinis. I think it's pretty clear everybody will choose Ninja2015. I wonder how much these recolors will cost. I would like to have Christie's, Nyotengu's and Rachel's but it doesn't make sense they cost like a regular new costume...

I think that they wanted just to use a common basis for all the pack rather than making random recolours.

I like Rachel's. It has a feeling of a Demon But it could be better with a darker red maybe. And it's nice to have an alternate color for her default outfit.

I like Rachel's recolour and it gave the same feelings even to me, glad to see that I'm not the only one =)

Anyway I think that a such red together with the already available black and white are just the perfect colors for her cape =)

I'm torn on mil as showstopper. It doesn't actually look BAD but I don't like the colors, but its better than more bikinis but its just a swap of the outfit nobody uses anyway.

I hate Helena's showstopper encore... I remember back in Vanilla I was so excited her DOA2 Hardcore JP exclusive outfit was included but I'm so over that costume. It's so bland. I hate Helena in cheongasms now. I kind of like her "showstopper" just because it makes her look like Aphrodite. And I believe Aphrodite would be topless... actually she would be nude. I still would have preferred them to recolor her Costume 2 instead. Oh and also... no more swimsuits, even if they make Helena look like Aphrodite. But that's not what this thread is about!

I'm so excited to use the user-made outfits! That's gonna be so much fun!!!
(Sidenote who else uses Ayane's Halloween 2013 as a Christmas sugarplum fairy outfit lol?)
