Not exactly a good first impression with this game...

So far, even with the Ai, its just stun juggles over and over, can't counter or break free or fight back at all most of the time...Just my character being knocked around and I can't do anything about it.

I mean I love having Leon back, but its the constant "I can't get up, I cant get up, I CANT GET UP, I CANT GET UP WHAT THE FUCK?!". That's killing the fun for me. Well that and the usual teleporting ninja bs.

Hopefully its just been bad matches, I really hope my favorite fighter hasnt been reduced to this...ugh. anyone else having this issue? I seem to remember DOA being known for solid fights, not...this.

Then again, now that I think about it, I think you used to be able to counter from the ground, couldnt you? They shoulda brought that back.

Sounds like you just need to learn how to play the game and stop bitching. They have a tutorial mode and a combo challenge mode to get you used to playing the game. Take advantage of it.

I love how you act as if me knowing combos will help me get up when I'm being kicked on the ground over and over. Combo challenge more is in no way relevant here.

Go through the tutorial. You obviously have issues with teching. Unless you're fighting Rachel who actually does have untechable setups, you're doing this to yourself. Those situations are limited with the rest of the cast. This isn't Marvel and you do have options. Something you're doing or not doing is causing all of that. In other words:

DoA5U: "It's not me, it's you."

Well when i tech roll, their combo just continues and keeps tracking and hits me in the middle of tech roll and I'm back on the floor anyway so it winds up a.constant "knockdown, techroll, knockdown, techroll, knockdown"

That's why I said you should spend time in Tutorial. I wasn't being mean, just blunt. There are ways to nullify situations like that and if you are on Live I'll show you. If you're on PSN take up DR2K on his offer.

You absolutely can't just jump into ranked on XBL. I'm a noob at this game, but competent at VF. It took me 20 matches to get a single win. Most of them weren't even close.

I find that the AI in ultimate is much easier than in vanilla.
I went into solo vs mode and set the AI to 8 to collect all the losing poses for each character expecting not to win and with characters I barely know I'd win 4/5 fights. Even Alpha. Her 8 fights about the same as her 1.

Yeah, same thing. Level 8 AI in vanilla was basically impossible for me. I think I've won maybe 5%, if that. 5U AI is pretty free.

Havik is right. Tech roll and hold guard. Or just get up and hold guard. Contrary to popular belief pressing buttons isn't always the answer in this game. It can get you screwed against competent players.
