That's
not condescending.
Let's look at the title of the thread, for example. It says
Okay, i'm getting pissed off now.
That means he is getting angry. If we take his initial post which is entirely composed of complaints, it further supports the case -- he is angry. Obviously something is making him angry. It is not condescending to remind him of the obvious truth of the situation when he is attempting to ignore it. It is, in fact, a
service to do this for him.
If you read Sirlin's play to win, which I linked, it explains in great detail how and why people make excuses for their losses and construct a mental prison for themselves made up of lies and excuses. That is EXACTLY what is happening to SilverKhaos right now, regardless of whether or not he accepts it as the truth. I am giving him the key to open that prison. It's not condescending as much as it is liberating. I am showing him the truth. It may not be pretty, but if he wants to open that door he has to accept it.
If he can't accept it, he will need to move on to something else or avoid competitive players entirely. That's also not being condescending, it's just the truth that will serve him best. His standards of how to play the game will not be accepted by anyone, because they will constantly change based on how he is feeling at any given time. They would be impossible to follow.
Also Raansu is going to talk shit regardless of what I say. I've had to reprimand him more than once and I'm sure I'll have to do it again.
If I was truly being condescending I would have said something along the lines of "Fucking Christ Silver, you're hopeless. Just quit the fucking game already. You don't know how the hell to play fighting games and you never will. Here's a link that shows why you're an idiot. Now get lost."
Notice however, I did not say that. I do have to be blunt about the problem however, because the problem is dealing with a delusional personality complex. If I beat around the bush he will continue to make more excuses and feed the delusion. We don't want that.
