Online multiplayer is a complete disappointment

You're all a bunch of complainers, you should just adapt to the lag. You can still win if you try. Go into training mode turn input lag to 1 and get to practicing.
I'm nowhere near good enough to worry about the more subtle ramifications of lag, but even I can tell that the lag "training" simulator is better on 1 than a real game at full bars. <generally, also, I think I may have said that before  >
I think the delay in training was a sort of "target render" for how the net code should have worked out.

Really. If you're only going to be playing Online for the majority of your time with DOA5, there's no point in complaining about it.

I've waited to chime in here as I wanted to get a good amount of matches online before commenting. I can officially say I'm one of the lucky ones with the online. I've played about 150 matches online and over 95% have been clean. Just played Solid_Altair, who's in South America (I'm MD, USA) and overall our matches were very good. Had a few weird hitches here and there, but considering the distance it was much better than I ever expected

My standards are higher than yours. Online is terrible. It's not an opinion, it's fact.

Um you do know if a game plays terrible online this gen most likely itll hurt sales for that said game. Having a solid netcode is also a great way to practice for people who are top level players. For example Gentleman Thief placed near the top at EVO in VF5FS and he was mainly an online player.

Online play will never be a substitute for offline play but its a great way to get some much needed practice IF the netcode is solid.

Agreed. Also i hate to keep bringing it up but playing VF5FS my standards for how 3D fighting games play online have changed. I want the best for this game because to be honest this game has surpassed my expectations and if it only had the online play to match id be set.

I won't mind playing you soon, I've been facing people near me lately so I wonder how it'll turn up.

I don't know what Orillia is, and I'm also from Ontario. We must play :D

Also tired of getting the error "unable to find opponent" when I'm trying to join a lobby even if it's one I was just in.

New complaint. In ranked, it prioritizes lower ranked opponents first. So if I set the search for C+ as the lowest rank, I'll get C+ players before I get anyone else (if multiple players are available). And since you can't set the lowest rank search to anything higher than your current rank, it makes the ranking up process slow and tedious.

Online in general, or THIS game's online?

Just this game. I can play SC5, VF5 and TTT2 online just fine.

TheTHCGamer we should get some friendly matches going soon. I'm getting real bored with the game with how the online is right now.

I love VF5FS's ranking system but i just hate how disconnectors just get a red angry face. If disconnects counted as losses in VF5FS the ranking system in my opinion would be perfect(well as far as online ranked goes since its always flawed).

I hope you feel better getting that off your chest. This isn't my first go around online. I've played SCV and VF5FS online extensively. The online isn't as good on DoA5 but it hasn't been the massacre it's being made out to be in my experience. You can't speak for me or my standards
