Heya fellas, I'm new to modding and i managed to do some body and hair swap and also convert uMod-dependent texture mods into dlc-type mod. I have some trouble with skin textures though and I couldnt get into neck seam fixing just yet.
I also wanted add a retextured hair but i dont know how to do it on the dlc tool
Sample: Kasumi with Ayane's recolored costume and hair

My target is color the hair brown to at least preserve Kasumi's identity. I already have a retextured hair, i just dont know how to include it in the mod along with the costume swap/retexture. And also as you can see above the skin is grayed out.

PS:
Is it allowed here in FSD to post mods with body/hair swaps from dlc files(like my sample above)? If not then I'll just choose another hair swap before uploading so i could also share to you guys. Iv'e been lurking in the shadows for months just downloading stuff, I wanted to give back something at least that's why I decided to start modding.

The skin is grayed out because you choose ayane boss costume , its the costume of the boss in the end of story mode ,so your modding method works fine

move your game to a different folder. it can't be in program files (x86) . so put the entire game into something like, C:\Games\

I tried to add some more details to Marie's outfit, but when I updated the dlc..the outfit shows in the selection screen but after I select a stage it hangs in the loading screen I heard about the game crashing if an outfit is bigger than 6MB (not sure how big mine was) I've tried deleting and readding but I get the same result---I'm sorry I have so many questions and problems but I appreciate the help, I really do!!

skin issue is what navmesh said, you used the boss version, you need to use the orignial ayane C1.

for hair, you need to use lnk reshuffle.

inject your brown pigtails into either hayabusa face, or bayman's helmet, then assign the hair number that will give kasumi that option.

never encountered this issue before. usually if theres something wrong, it crashes on the select screen.

did you back up just the tmc file, then revert back to it without reverting back to the older tmcl as well?

you can try re-adding every texture to a clean marie rose file again.

It's being weird. It hangs on loading for FIGHT and TRAINING, but the costume works fine on the PRIVATE BEACH scene I also retried with a clean TMC-TMCL, etc. same issue...very frustrating/// Don't know what I did wrong Wonder if I might need to uninstall/reinstall? I'll try tomorrow

UPDATE: It's lnk_Reshuffle....I reinstalled, did my costume dlc, worked fine. Once I swapped in my hair and face (a simple recolor and texture) with lnk_Reshuffle, it starts to hang on LOADING....I wonder if there is a fix, maybe? Kinda sad...

I deleted posts and issued a warning or two. Last public warning before you all get the thread locked: DO NOT POST LINKS TO DLC CONTENT. I don't give a shit if it's paid or free DLC. If it's not in the core game, don't share the files. Going forward, I will ban on sight. It's an illegal activity and we won't host it on our site.

so sorry cyber evil, i was requesting something about a height change for a charater, but did not see myself talking about the dlc pack that was posted on page 37 and if someone can post another link of it, again sorry about that.

No tutorial for it, but really all you need to know are these steps

run tool
choose character from list
choose costume or part from list you want swap with
click on file, click swap, choose your file you want injected in its place

that's it

I have an unfinished alpha 152 mod (Yes, I know it will conflict 100% with bbb's awesome pack ) Is there a way to change alpha's "aura/smoke" color and include it in a costume mod for other characters? or a way to use the existing "aura/smoke" colors in alphas different costumes and use it in the costume mod?
Here is currently what I have, I plan to be able to use different aura/smoke color to match my other mk-inspired mods.

The face texture is by ChrisArmoun, i used it to give her a more sub zero look.

with lnk_reshuffle v3, you can extract alpha's effect tmc and tmcl. you can then extract the textures and try changing the textures colour to see if that works.

I have tried swapping the effects to another character, the aura did not appear

also, if you don't have the alpha ninja dlc, you can use that slot for the mod, and it wont cause issues with my pack.

Can a character have more than one face? Heard something about Hayabusa having a free slot? Trying to do Harley Quinn, but I don't want the face to carry over to other costumes. I am guessing if it is possible, it'll be done through lnk_Reshuffle
