First off, spamming is not against the game's rules nor fighting game etiquette. But more importantly, if I spam, you know what I'm going to do, so stop me. Spammers are the best opponents to fight. If your opponent keeps doing the same thing, it's very easy to counter it. If you keep falling for the same thing again and again and again, you deserve to lose. I DON'T spam most of the time because I'm afraid my opponent is going to catch on and turn the match around with one good counter, which can very well happen at any moment.
But anyway, I was accused of "spamming" because my tag combos involve repeating the same loop as many times as possible until the opponent is too low, then I finish with something else. To the amateur player, this looks like "spamming", despite the fact that I use many different setups and launchers to start this combo.
You say that until you go up against someone who is doing 200+ damage tag combos to you.

But to fair... yes, by the literally meaning of the word... you don't NEED tag combos. But players like me will make you wish you had them.

But if you don't want to do them, that's totally cool by me. I'm not here to call out people for not doing them. I'm just saying don't get mad when someone does them to you. Doing Tag combos in Tag mode is just playing the game the way it's meant to be played.
The problem is that people get mad and then avoid me should my name pop up again. It already takes long enough to find matches as is.
This is most definitely true. But I should've clarified that it's not necessarily the hate mail part that bugs me. It's just the part where it affects my ability to play the game because people exit when they see my name and then I have wait another 5-10 minutes to finally find another match, only to be someone else who rages before the match even starts because they don't understand that I'm just playing the game the way it's meant to be played.
