For anyone who hasn't been following the news as of late. Lab Zero now has a working driver (developed by Cowboy over at Naughty Dog) that allows PlayStation 3 peripherals that identify themselves as "generic USB controllers" to work on the PlayStation 4.*

What's more, they are more than willing to let other developers use the driver for free (as long as any devlopments are shared back with them).

As such, I believe it's in the community's best interest of Team NINJA were made aware of this so that they can implement the driver in DOA5 Last Round.

So for those in agreement, you can contact TN here.

As well as Koei Tecmo here.

*Devices that identify themselves as DualShock 3s such as the PS360+ and InPin PS2-PS3 adapter will not work.

i am very worried that the future fighting games on the PS4 and Xbone wont support PS3/360 arcade sticks.

USF4, MKX, Tekken 7 and DOA5LR HAVE TO support this! i simply cannot play without a stick and i will definitely not switch to pad or buy a fricking PS4 stick for 200$. 400€ PS4 + 200€ stick + 40€ LR = 640€ to enjoy fully my FG experience is just RIDICULOUS !

PLZ TN PLZ MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!

sony gave green light (well they dont care because they said its up to the developers) to this and great developers like Lab Zero are starting to implement it. this has to be done on next generations consoles!

I absolutely refuse to buy any next-gen arcade stick. It's been nothing but a sham from both Microsoft and Sony for us to buy new products. I find it very funny that, right up before the release of the Xbox One, I remember seeing someone playing on one of the @d3v kits (see what I did there? ;)) with a standard 360 stick to play Killer Instinct.

But, all of a sudden, once the final version of the console was released, our previous arcade sticks were just magically not compatible. The hell outta here!

I've made way too much of a hefty investment (see below) to purchase any next-gen arcade sticks, so I welcome this with open arms and hope that a lot of other fighting game developers will jump all over this.

tweetet TN and KT

everyone on this site should bombard them with tweets right now. even pad-players benefit from this so just send them a quick tweet.

players like D Glock and myself who put alot of time, effort and money into arcade sticks shouldnt be affected adversely when there IS an easy, cheap and already proven method that works.

:ayane: i cant spin and move on pad like i want.. i like spinning.. dont take it away TN :(

Answer me this, If an accredited game developer from Sony has already made a patch that makes the PS3 controller work on PS4(and I am sure that there is something similar for XBONE) then why cant Sony just patch it in on the next update and satisfy the competitive and non competitive people in one fell swoop?

As much as the PS4 controller is an improvement to the PS3 controller I would rather have the longer battery life of the PS3 controller and the harder triggers as well. This whole next gen obsolescence thing is just a raw assfuck in my opinion and there are more pleasant ways to get fucked.
