Makes perfect sense to me. Let the Japanese play their crappy version and give us the route the E3 version was taking =P
Extra work making 2 complete different patches and the obvious effect of cutting online matches vs JP players makes no sense at all and its not the way patches are meant to be done. Patches are something that should be univerisal to keep the online play WW.

I believe there's still chance for them to put back many things to how they were via patch. Most fighting games these days get patches anyway and with the way several of us think right now, DOA5 won't be the exception. We just have to be as noisy as possible.
The problem is that 90% of patches are nerfs, especially if the game doesn't use arcade for players to practice on first (e.g. SC5).

I wouldn't use SCV as an example though, didn't that game just get worse and worse with every patch?

AFAIA same thing with MK9.

All fighting games with no arcade support.

Which is my point. Non-arcade FG patches are more likely to nerf.

For me, the game will be perfect if:

-CB ss allowed in the second or third hit of a combo for everyone.
-Everyone gets frame advantage and safe moves in double digits.
-String delays is shortened.
-Helena gets all her DOA4 shit back except for the forced teching + single-hit sit-down stuns and back turned stuns to guarantee a few fast attacks afterwards.
-Tina is safe and able to land good air throws from most launch heights and guaranteed ground throws after most strings land like in DOA3.
-Tina gets advantage from an opponent breaking her combo throws.
-Cliffhangers stop having an option for the attacker to get damage.
-Fang relied on more and better sabakis, parries and advanced holds that guarantee entire combos afterwards.
-Eliot's 214P+F and 2P+F guarantee shit after them.
-Bass got more guaranteed pick-ups and better options after them like in DOA3/3.1

Based on what I've played I would hold back on all of your changes except for the CB request.

Lets see how the whole metagame plays out before we start talking about buffing particular characters.

As for your #2 and #3 items, play it more closely when you get it and you will see there are moves with frame advantage, so the tournament environment would need to test if they are currently enough, and string delays have already been shortened. Plus, these are not inherently a bad thing and you would want to play the game a lot more before request such a change.

Everything else you suggested is already in the game in some form, so its best to play it and see how good everything is before making uninformed complaints, because the developer would just dismiss a list like this.

ALL DOA6 DOA5 DOA4 DOA3 DOA2U DOAD
