P-P-P-P-P-P-POWER!
Apparently DOA 5 is going to be at SBO... or something SBO affiliated.

I think this was Hayashi talking about his experience at one of the Japanese events. Apparently he's noticing a lot of people missing the option to play with the character camera at the end of a match. You can do it by pressing the triangle button (on the PS3) at the end of the match during the win pose.
To which Shimbori responded with something else about Hayashi going somewhere in the rain and a meeting, I'm not exactly sure. Then he says something about wishing you could see the "scenes" playing now. I'm assuming he's talking about the levels we haven't seen yet but I'm not sure.Shimbori via @TeamNINJAStudio said:あ、早矢仕P、いないと思ったらまさかの体験会に行ってたんですね…じゃあ自分も時間つくれたら新宿の体験会に行っちゃいますよ。プレイされている風景を見たい!
[D-YS] Tina's OH moves from DOA4, Fisherman's Buster and M.D.T., have become throws. She's shaping up to more of a grappler. The tackle comes out faster too.Base damage for the M.D.T. is 80, but it only comes out when the J.O. Cyclone hits at counter or higher. So you can think of it like getting stronger when you read your opponent will or you throw before they do.
Bayman's Neck Hold Swing is a throw, with a guaranteed arm bar on normal hit, and a sleeper hold on counter or higher.Great for people who like swinging their opponents around. It's not in the test footage, but you can do a different kind of joint lock on downed opponents.Use H+P during Front Wheel on a downed opponent to grab their legs for a kneebar.
Ayane's Tsurara-Otoshi is back, and Soshoha returns as her Critical Burst move.Ryugaku-Ko is back too, opening up all kinds of new fighting strategies. The changedDOA5system has strengthened Sho-Ayane too. You can turn people around with this move, but we don’t let people turn around during a back stagger like they could in DOA4.That means you get a guaranteed combo out of this move.So just as Ayane's back attacks got stronger, other characters have different attack strategies too.
And speaking of guaranteed hits, holds during sitdown stuns come out later, so there are more guaranteed combos than in DOA4.
Well, if I'm not mistaken, didn't TN say that we'd be getting a lot more info faster after E3? So, I'm sure we'll be getting a lot of stuff between the end of July and the end of August. Especially considering there's that near complete build at the tourny's.They still have Elliot, Gen Fu, Helena, Jann Lee, Mila, Pai-Chan, Brad Wong, Lisa and maybe Leon to announce so that's like 9 more characters. So going off their track record we'll get two more reveals by the end of this month...but after that they'll have to ramp the reveals up a bit since we're only two month away and also haven't seen Tag and or the other Modes in play, so yea, they have a lot to show us. But my patience is high because Team Ninja knows what they're doing
LMAO @ Grap3 and Rikuto!
the DOA5 build at the GVN Tournament in Aug 25th is suppose to contain all the characters we'll be getting in the retail release come Sept.
Where did you get this from?
Whatever characters that are payable will be the finished product for those characters, come retail release. This will not be the finished product that will be played at GVN.
Really glad for the return of Ayane's Tsurara-Otoshi![]()
I don't know about all characters, but I do know that it will be a NEAR complete build. the organizers at the i46 tournament in London are promising the same build, with the same description, a "near complete" build.
What Team NINJA is saying now and what they'll be able to spare equipment and time for that close to release may be different. I'm personally hoping for a release with all characters announced up to that point. That'd be great. But I understand how the industry works and it's not necessarily a guaranteed thing.
