She's fun as hell to play, but hard to use, so I figured she wasn't THAT popular.

But 70x harder XD
Harder? How so? XD Lili is so two dimensional, she hits hard and has good juggle damage and ground oki game, but she's almost helpless against turtles and has no good neutral mixups, like her bedtime is a high to low but and her other one is a high to high which is dumb; She's also super unsafe and slow, direct persuasion, cancer un deux, heliotrope, and thorn whip are really her only safe moves, but they lack damage unfortunately. Naotora has potential, but people seem to forget she isn't rushdown and has mid punches and that 9P and BT stance for mindgames. They're both good but players online play them in a way that limits their true potential and gives them a bad rep.

Well, not exactly "70x" lmaooo but even if Lili is a very 2D character in her own right, she has good B&B, her key moves are very strong but is still hard utilize them correctly (As does Naotora), Lili's mix-ups aren't strings however. Her mix-up starting moves like ff4 are safe and she can step (d,d/f,f) which leads to a 50/50 "mix-up". Her mix-ups aren't utilized through her strings either. She's mostly supposed to use her standalone moves to mix up the opponent, and her being "slow" can also make players not know what she can do next. Sure it's not as good as characters like Hwoarang, but it can still work. That being said, her lack of mix-ups makes it harder to open up her opponents which kinda makes her harder to win with. However, Naotora doesn't really have that kind of thing as she plays different to Lili, similarity being their kicks and fight concept. Lili has a lot of moves you can't reverse which makes her good in that aspect, and pushes up her "strength" too. Her CH combo potential is crazy. She can catch opponents sidestepping and doing weird shit with her tracking pokes. Her d2,2,4 is a fast mix-up string even being low-high-mid. As the mid kick is fast enough to counter any upcoming move if the high is ducked under. b1,4 is very good to use at mid-far range as it is hard to punish, but is stupid to use at close range. Lili has more to utilize than Nao, and knowing when and where (Range and punishing-wise) to do attacks (Like every other character in Tekken) is what would make her harder to use. Her neutral game can be trash though.
While I would agree with her being super-unsafe, she's HELLA unsafe when her strings are finished, but if you don't finish her strings, she can be safe, which also leads to her mix-up game improve a little.

Ohhhhhhh! XD My bad, sorry I didn't know you were talking Xiaoyu, which I agree she is pretty difficult to use. I used to play as her when I was 3-7 but then I didn't really play seriously and just pressed buttons to get by, in T6 as soon as I chose Lili and saw her do that hair flip and go on about how Azazel's chamber was a "great" place to fight, I dropped Xiaoyu and went to Lili. ♡_♡ And you're good, I love talking and reading anything Tekken and Lili related. :-D
Lili is a very "good" character, which I used to play in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, but I dropped her very fast because Eddy (Which has been my dude since Tekken Tag 1) and Hwoarang were better in my eyes back then lmao. I'm currently maining Jin and Hwoarang now, because Eddy from the looks of it isn't going to be in 7. I have mastered the EWGF (or EWGH) for Jin, after hours of crazy training lmaooo. If 1-framers aren't your thing, do not pick a Mishima XD which you should already know.
I just want Eddy in Tekken 7 at this point xD. Christie's story has already finished as she has nothing to fight for, as her grandfather had died, and Eddy's story has more to conclude to.

Xiaoyu is not that hard to use imo.
I've mained her since T3, along with Lars and Alisa in T6/TT2 and I think Lars is harder. Also, I just saw that tier list and even in Tekken I use low tier characters. lol. Fortunately I still have Xiaoyu, I was also planning to use Lucky Chloe cause she seems quite fun, and I'll do so since I choose a character based on how much fun he/she is to play, I just ignore tier lists xD

Yeah, I couldn't agree more, tier lists take the fun out of the game, just play who ya wanna and feel happy doing so. :-D That reminds me, I have a pocket Jin, but I never really use him....haven't mastered his EWGF yet and I know his general move set, but it's kind of weird actually using in a normal match. I might just drop him tho, Claudio is definitely looking to be my main guy character in Tekken now, love his design and his fighting style is so regal.☆
Yeah, she can be a bitch to fight, I learned that multiple times when I play Lili mirrors, won most of them but only by the skin of my teeth 0_o. Bob is just annoying and completely anger inducing and Kazuya fustrates me with that dreaded low triple hell sweep and that humiliating shoulder toss throw when i try to block. XD Will you be playing online when T7 drops? I wouldn't mind playing with you and anyone on PS4 who wanna, DOA is kinda meh now till Mai drops and I've mostly been playing SK. XD

I hated fighting Eddy but i still hope he makes it in somehow. I have this gut feeling that the rumors that say LC might be his(and Christie's) replacement might be true. :'(

That sounds good! And SK is just short for Senran Kagura Estival Versus, it's a ninja girl game where they're on some ninja island for 7-8 days and trying to help their loved ones pass over since they're deceased. I main/use Ryona but not online since she sucks. She's a huge pervert and masochist(not like a certain someone
) and fights using swan lake unorthodox quad gun play:
...It has quite a bit of fanservice and most of the girls are quite busty, so it may not be your thing, although I could see you probably liking Daidoji or Miyabi, they're pretty masculine and not so cutesy, I think they're like reverse traps and Daidoji is a yanking delinquent.

Lol I seriously have to get into SK as well, I think I might when this new game that might be coming out comes out. It's 31 days until that's revealed so I wonder what It will be like?
I've actually forgot a lot about Tekken like how annoying people are to fight but if Lili's annoying then at least I have the advantage of also using her!

I don't really have a character that I hate fighting. I generally get bodied no matter who my opponent is using.

XD I remember even a while back in the Ziabatsu forum one user said Lili isn't a real fighter and that people who use her are just weaboos....yeah, he was probably just salty, Lili is good at making people feel annoyed. The Mishimas to me are the most annoying, they are in essence designed to be the best characters in the game and they can pretty much handle anyone they fight. And don't get me started on Hwoarang....ugh, I loathe his AI and people online who use him, he's just unpredictable. ~_~ Idk how people use him, his stances and combos just don't resonate with me.

Idk about other people, but I like Hwoarang because he's difficult AF and of his unpredictability compared to most characters. He's got like 4 move lists, and knowing which move does what in all 4 is what makes me love playing him. But Hwoarang players online are a joke. A real mess.

I'd like to give Hwoarang a try as well. He's kind of my backburner character, though I used him a lot in T3 and TTT.
In general, my character preference is:
1) Julia Chang
2) Ling Xiaoyu
3) Asuka Kazama
4) Lei Wulong
5) Hwoarang
It changes from game to game, though. I do want to see Julia come back as Julia rather than Jaycee, though.
