Tekken

I just hope the new characters are an improvement from this. For becoming the first true current gen 3D fighter I have really high hopes for T7. The graphics though (mostly the character models) still feel last gen and the characters (except for Claude or whatever his name is) haven't grabbed my interest. Chloe just looks like a bunch of recycled Eddy/Christie moves combined with Eileen from VF.

The game isn't done tho, I think everybody should just chill on the graphics until it's out for consoles which won't be until like 2016 probably.

I really hope this doesn't apply to consoles, we've gotten past region exclusive characters so this isn't the 90s or early 2000s anymore! I loved the Tekken series since TTT1 and have enjoy the gameplay & characters, there were even stuff about Tekken 7 that I would look forward to or hope it improves from TTT2 (when I was disappointed with TTT2, especially the customization mode was completely downgrade). Everyone was just overreacting (even other communities were much worst) with Lucky Chloe even took way to personal almost like recreating on how other FGC communities treated the DOA (which when it came to DOA news, I don't follow Eventhubs for this kind of stuff). Since almost everyone in this region is so desperate on wanting a remove option or treat characters like shes meant to appeal the creepy people, I would never want to respect these kind of people and I would wish they gave up Tekken altogether if they have such a vendetta with Lucky Chloe for such reason that was just plain overkilled or have their own limited view on what Tekken is about! I'm at this point where I wish the current generation of gaming, certain FGC communities or the Internet, and wish these users to just disappear! Lets face it, even My opinions won't make a differences and if Lucky Chloe doesn't see an American release once Tekken 7 is released in any form I would official never want to play Tekken anymore for that reason.

Harada, please rethink your decision

Actually I think he's just upset at the backlash this character got already. I do feel she's kinda redundant tho - nothing wrong with trying to appeal to a wider audience (something we may dislike, people in other regions might love), but I think we already have enough characters to please this demographic. I could be wrong, about 30 minutes after I saw the trailer I didn't mind her.

TBH I'd probably react the same way he's doing now.

Like I said I didn't think she was horrible, but her trailer definitely didn't do her justice especially with what I'm assuming is her C1 and the emphasis on her voice. Harada throwing a temper tantrum and threatening to exclude the character from an entire country is pretty interesting to watch though.

While I understand Harada probably feels upset with how certain users reacted to her, but removing a character from one version isn't the way to handle it. I do hope that people will give Lucky Chloe much support to the point of not replacing Lucky Chloe with some Muscle or Skinhead Male character. I hope this link is a good sign: http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sj1d0f

Look everyone doesn't have to like her, but the majority of users that hate it her handle things so poorly, and no character should have to disappear all because some haters treat her like garbage. Even Miguel's outfit use to been a stereotypical bullfighter which wasn't a good representation to the Spaniards, TTT2 Saudi Arabia stage received a very minor change because it had a name that was offensive to Muslims, and seeking feedback for a sketch idea which was considering adding an Arab fighter would be reasons I can accept since there are stuff the development team may not know much and certain countries found it offensive since they can change it or not include it all together. But for a character who is just J-Pop Idol, and users treated her like they'd treat DOA series is not a good reason to remove her.

I do wish Lucky Chloe's support.

Oh, so they plan to not include her in America/the US? Heeeey, what about EU? Didn't we complain enough, or what? XD I really don't want her. She's really annoying and her design is imho of the cheapest and trashiest J-Pop/moeblob style you could give a character. D:

This is one of those times where I'm not exactly proud to be an American.

I don't dislike her, although I find her design somewhat generic, but I would never want content removed from the game and I can't believe people are actually hoping for an "inferior" version of the game. Most people would riot if they removed a character, not to have one removed, and I think now the silent majority of people who either like/don't mind her design or are completely indifferent to her but don't want missing content in their game will start speaking up.

Having said that, I honestly don't think anyone is getting cut from the roster of ANY version. Harada is a funny guy sometimes. This whole idea of region-exclusive characters, and how quickly he seemingly "gave in" to these negative comments is... odd, to say the least. I'd put money on him either messing with people for giggles or this just being an attempt to quell the immediate wave of gut-reactions to the character. People will calm down, and by the time the game is released next year every fighter will still be there, and no one will make a big fuss over it.

I honestly think Lucky Chloe was made and revealed in order to get people talking, obviously. So much of the Tekken 7 hype was dwindling, so what better way to get people talking by introducing this generic, J-Pop, "street fighting" acrobatics character? People are definitely talking, be it good or bad. Press is press, no matter what. At the end of the day, I doubt Harada is going to make her exclusive to certain regions, but lest we forget, this wouldn't be the first time this happened. Look at early Soulcalibur games. Hwang was made to replace Misturugi and so was Arthur, due to cultural differences. Lucky Chloe being exclusive to East Asia and Europe wouldn't be so far fetched, especially if reception by American players isn't so hot. Honestly, I don't care for the overall design of Lucky Chloe.

This is getting interesting:

確かに公開当初「リリーの妹」と言われてました…。ちなみに本気で受け取ってしまった人がいるようです…。皆さん、クロエちゃんとマリーは姉妹じゃないですよ!"@Harada_TEKKEN: マリーローズが発表されたときは散々「リリコンセプトだ!」って海外中心に騒がれてたろ(笑)"

Rough google translate:
It had been certainly published originally referred to as the " Lily of the sister " ... . By the way, it seems there are people who had received in earnest ... . Everyone , Chloe -chan and Marie is not a sister ! "Harada_TEKKEN: When Marie Rose has been announced to braze been making noise abroad center What terrible " ! 'S release concept " ( laughs) "
