I thought Gigas was the kind of character male players like, because God forbid, a fighting game has an attractive woman in it.

>a fighting game has an attractive woman in it

>an attractive woman

>attractive

New character looks incredibly boring. For a powerhouse his grapples don't even look very interesting and his strikes are just a bunch of generic 'Hulk smash' attacks.

Yeah T7 is probably the worst roster update yet. I thought those were tentacles but I guess they're just tubes or some shit

People still believe haradas lying ass about that lucky Chloe thing and are still throwing out generalizations like some trained parrot incapable of thought, big surprise

anyhow if he replaced Marduck I wouldn't be too dissapointed. trying to tell me that body type is human always made him seem ridiculous in deseign.

I'm repeating myself, but why is Tekken 7 looking so bad?! D: Is it the Arcade machines limited power? The new Dissidia looks better on on PS4 than on Arcade too. So I'm really hoping, when they port this to PS4, they'll update all those blocky character models. :/

I think once it's ported to the PS4 and Xbox One, the game will look significantly better. But even then, Tekken wasn't really known for its looks, and is more known for its fighting mechanics and hard hits. I mean, Tekken Revolution and Tekken 7 is really the first time they're actually focusing on making the women look attractive face wise.

The graphics are still a WIP, but I agree they don't look as great. Facial animations are off and some polygons are very last gen-like.

The game still looks really nice.

Tekken wasn't really known for its looks

Back in the day, yes it was.

I felt Tekken looked best at Tekken 4, both graphically and design wise. It became generic around Tekken 5 and onward.

That's crazy talk... I legitimately can't think of a single good quality about T4 lol I also don't understand what you mean by generic. T5 looked amazing for a PS2 game, it also had a lot of nice designs and colors.

T7 also looks great. I mean it's not going to get much better this gen. If you're expecting Uncharted 4 graphics from a fighting game it won't happen since those games can barely maintain 30fps and fighters need a solid 60. Also they have ridiculous bloated development teams and budgets, whereas fighters are still niche.

Tekken 4 gets a lot of crap, but design wise, it was the best. I liked that it toned down the supernatural elements and tried to go for something more fluid and realistic when it came to the atmosphere. But then again, I am biased, as Tekken 4 is my favorite game in the series. I'm known for liking the "black sheep" games in major franchises. Lol

I have a wierd relationship with Tekken 4.
The first few years in Germany, I did go to my first "Tekken"-related tournament in Wiesbaden...
the issue was that most of my friends and almost everyone who went to it were already half aware of how broken the game really was.
The music in the game was... decent... but "quiet." (I need to come up with another word).

I guess the only problem people have with Tekken 4 is to be due to the glitches and bugs found in the game. I still have my copy of the game, and have encountered a few of them. The second sort-of-reason is due to the fact that there were uneven stages (such as Rooftop, jungle, etc.). I personally liked them because it added more variety (or "flavor") to the series, despite the fact that we always get typical square stages (which can be quite boring if you ask me).

Tekken 4 is such an underrated game. I honestly got bored of the series around Tekken 6, but I just hated the Bound mechanic. At least the Screw Attack mechanic in Tekken 7 seems to tone down the "bound" effect. Tekken Tag 2 is still hype, but after awhile, it gets boring seeing the same setups and combos. I understand going for optimal damage, but dammit, I would like to see some risks taken every once in awhile.
