I know she has swimwear, but she also has a male version swimwear too, and the game still is non canon. Even in T7, she hasn't received any swimwear yet, hasn't received that idol game outfit that all the girls received, and she even has a beard option in the game. And someone I follow on Twitter posted a pants custom item for Leo, and it had a bulge in it, which no other girl has.

Leo was always meant to be a girl.
The reason she was made was to appeal to both audiences who prefer male or female characters (or something like that). And Let's real name is Eleonor.
Plus with Asuka being in as well (she's also a tomboy), I guess they wanted a more feminine tomboy while Leo is more masculine.
Also she never had a shirt off option in Tekken customization and even had female hair options in TK6.
Although even though she is technically a female, I don't think she'll be presented in the same way with the rest of the females.

I still kinda have my doubts because of the reveal being dropped during a non canon tournament, but if you guys say she's female and are sure about it, I'll believe it until it's proven otherwise. She's not one of my personal favorite characters, so her gender isn't a big deal to me. Her and Alisa are probably my least favorite characters, but they both look much better in Tekken 7:FR I'll admit.

To be honest I actually really would have liked them to have said nothing about her/his gender and just kept it completely unknown. I hope in Tekken 7 they just keep giving them male and female clothes to keep it up. And yeah @KasumiLover69 Harada is such a troll I wouldn't be surprised if him announcing Leo was a girl was because it was non canon to throw people off.
Exactly, he could be just trolling us, I brought it up on gamefaqs, but they shot down my theory in favor of some ridiculous notion that Lucky Chloe is actually Miharu...~_~ But back on topic, they even had something weird in SC mode. Anna Williams calls her a "little boy" and Leo doesn't deny it either which is strange. I'm guessing the answer to the gender is whatever the player wants it to be I guess, case in point Poison who I personally see as female.

Takuji Kawano, the lead character designer of Soul Calibur, often worked on Tekkens too.

Easy! They're all open chested and are all jacket variants, so he could've been the designer behind Heihachi's, if it wasn't one of the guest artists they said would help in character design. I really hope Mr. Takuji is helping design heavily this time around, this Soul Calibur like vibe I'm getting from the game is getting me all excited!Takuji Kawano, the lead character designer of Soul Calibur, often worked on Tekkens too.

Tbf Soul Calibur and Tekken are I the same universe just centuries apart. Tekken Yoshimitsu is the descendant of one of the Soul Calibur Yoshis I think, its hard to explain because of the who whoever leads Manji Clan is renamed Yoshimitsu.
That is noticeable, since several fighters from each game look similar to the others, and they both borrow elements from each other. Lili's new lovely P1 dress screams Amy Sorel, and the outfits in general make it look like they're traveling around on some apocalyptic journey, kind of like Soul Calibur which I really like. They also finally added a wind effect in the game that makes the cloth and fabric sway in the breeze, and the overall engine makes their graphics look aesthetically similar to SC5's, along with the beautiful stages.

Am I the only one finding the soundtrack a little lacking in Tekken 7? Its still alright but I feel like its a big step down from what I consider to be the best soundtrack of any fighting game Tekken Tag Tournament 2. TTT2 had such a range of different styles and was just so upbeat but T7 IMO is sticking purely to dubstep type beats. Obviously though if anyone does like it then that's fine. I'm hoping when the ps4 version comes out and there's more of a full game the soundtrack becomes more varied!
From listening to what little is available online right now I'd say by favourite piece is this.
I don't think anything will ever beat my favourite fighting game stage theme "Electric Foantain"! God this theme is just so amazing!
