Am I the only one finding the soundtrack a little lacking in Tekken 7? Its still alright but I feel like its a big step down from what I consider to be the best soundtrack of any fighting game Tekken Tag Tournament 2. TTT2 had such a range of different styles and was just so upbeat but T7 IMO is sticking purely to dubstep type beats. Obviously though if anyone does like it then that's fine. I'm hoping when the ps4 version comes out and there's more of a full game the soundtrack becomes more varied!

From listening to what little is available online right now I'd say by favourite piece is this.

I don't think anything will ever beat my favourite fighting game stage theme "Electric Foantain"! God this theme is just so amazing!

I honestly really like the soundtrack, the electronic sound and eclectic dubstep they use really appeal to me, probably because I'm 18 and I enjoy the music to begin with. My favorite stage theme so far is this:

The part where that high pitch sound plays gets me really hype and I literally get goosebumps, it's fantastic. XD

Another old song I like:

I like this one, because the song actually makes me feel emotion, it's really deep if you just listen. The worst song in T7 to me is the Souq one....it doesn't sit well with me, it just lacks that substance that the other songs have. I also don't like the devil Kazumi final round theme...it went from sad and epic first round to prima donna grunge junk in the second round. They really need to revise it, it doesn't fit the mood to me.

Yeah that Twilight Conflict one was actually really good! It reminds me of the kind of sound the old games had. Also 0:16 Lili's amazing hair spin!


Tekken 5 had a great soundtrack as well. The theme to Lili's ridiculously huge bedroom is my favourite from that game. Its hard to describe it but it just has some kind of mid 2000's vibe to it that I love. Regardless though its just great.

That brings back so many memories, definitely a stage i want to see return, and the music set the tone perfectly! I like how they remodeled stages and remixed the themes, it really worked well on the stages like The secret garden:

I didn't really like the remix Martial Medicine, it seemed so slow and less eargasmic than the original, but it was quite funky which made it decent enough.

Yeah that "massive stunner secret garden" really gets the feeling of a fast pasted fight perfect.

And It would be great if past stages returned. I doubt it but if Tekken 7 also went down something similar to doa5 but not as extreme then a dlc stage pack of like 4 stages like electric Foantain and Lili's room etc would be amazing!

I think they're gonna do that along the line, and the best part is that it'll all be free, like in TTT2!^-^ Tekken literally has to be the only current FG to not charge for anything other than music, which is justified since the music is worth the $1-2 price.

Yeah the fact that they couldn't get those I think 4-5 characters finished before release and then just gave them out for free was really surprising to see In this day and age. Especially when games like Tekken. X street fighter at the sametime deliberately took characters out to sell them for more later. That gave me a lot of respect for them when they did that.

That's one thing I like about Harada, he's not greedy and actually gives out good content. Even with the preorder stuff, it was just time exclusive and was released for free regardless.

Are you kidding? Tag 2 was wub central.... I couldn't stand to hear any of it. Worst soundtrack in the entire series IMO. I don't like wubfests but T7 is atleast more enjoyable from what I've heard. Again Tekken Tunes can easily fix this.

The newer one seems to be unfinished, but it's also cool sounding.

Theyre actually gonna sell the vanilla OST on the 30th. So I'm thinking there might be new tracks for the stages... or at least remixes.

I actually hate Tekken's music in general. XD Imho the worst of all fighting game series that I play (Tekken, DOA, Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter, Street Fighter).

The character select music is literally like Grunt said: "wub wub wub wub wub..."

The wubs are awesome though :-( Have you not heard Tekstep fountain, and Modern Oasis?? Those get me so hype! And that character select screen BGM is good too, it gets me all tingly and ready to Thorn whip and Slashing Vine all the way to victory^-^

Its not that I don't like wubs its that in Tekken 7 the same beat is going in a repetitive pattern where as in TTT2 the beat is constantly changing in insane ways and I prefer that.

Me too, that part is sick! I like how the overall song has this "wet" feel to it like you're actually fighting in a wet fountain.

I just realised I said my favourite song from Tekken 6, 5 and 7 but not from TTT2 so I'd its close but it would definitely have to be between these three but I love pretty much every single song on the soundtrack and listen to all the songs constantly. Out of them all though its definitely between these three!

It was even hard to only pick three nevermind one cause like I said its my favourite fighting game soundtrack and there all my favourites!

People CAN have different tastes in music lol

I like Metal specifically Thrash and Deth Metal, that probably sounds like just noise to alot of people as well.

Yeah lol, I wasn't being that serious really. I actually kinda like metal as well but only from a very casual standpoint. In general so long as a song is fast pasted I'll probably like it.

I think Tekken should have more rock themes, they did themselves right with the Tekken 6 cemetery stage theme, so dark and grungy! I like how overall they experiment with various genres, but the rock, wubs, and electronica pieces they've made are my favorite. I like the T5DR, TTT2, TR, TTT and T6 tracks the best. T4's was the weakest, I only like touch and go, fear, the honmaru theme, and uninhabited the most.
