I honestly like all the new characters, except for Gigas. The only bad thing about Josie for me is her voice... and they could have given her a more creative name.

Yeah, like Asuka and Xiaoyu got those Idol type ones early in the T7 arcade months, Leo got that pirate get up, and Lili got that Gothic Victorian dress. I think these could be their unlockable third outfits like in Tekken 5.

As disappointed I am that Miguel isn't in the game (hopefully only for now), I can probably just use Katarina as my #2 character instead (Asuka is my #1); I've been wanting to see a Savate fighter for a while. I hope they add one for doa6...

Of course it was a joke, she's a exaggerated depiction of an idol. I'm not sure how anyone can consider someone like her to be serious. And yeah he knew what reaction it'd get and decided that he was gonna have fun with the outrage. It'd be naive to believe otherwise.

Following trends is what every game does and has done. Tekken isn't any different. Kaz is the go to Karate guy. Nina's the 90s blonde action girl. Law is Bruce Lee. Lei is Jackie Chan. It was trendy to make fighting archetypes in the 90s. Now it's fantasy. People just simply don't like the current trends which is fine.

Reason I can accept it is because ultimately, it's not a big deal. As long as the older guard is still around, nothing wrong with more modern characters.

You are missing the point, the character itself wasn't the intention. It's the concept behind the character in it's design. Harada made the indication that he was merely joking to "make" the character "upon creation" because he had his hands tied to making one due to the push of Tekken 7 and demand. Lucky Chloe wasn't even the true intention of the problem here but merely an accident that "still worked" and thus made a general name for the character getting put in, named "Lucky" Chloe. You can thank Kotaku and Shoryuken.com for figuring out that hint while Harada confirming that it is indeed true with him joking on "making" the character and that he wants to save time to develop the game for the arcades for production and feedback on gameplay. From there on, he focused on Lucky Chloe's moveset and general base frame data.

Nina was thoroughly made in design and character, Kazuya was thoroughly made in design (Mind you that he was originally suppose to be the main character, but fans wouldn't like a darker tone protagonist so they changed it to someone else who is a natural hero with a dark secret -somewhat-) other characters cannot play the victim here when they were made for the "default" game in itself. It is not because they do not like the current trends (somewhat common problem, not a major one), it's the change and forcing oneself to fully indoctrinate and giving into things where you don't necessarily have to.

Not against the removal of characters here, but merely pointing out that she wasn't exactly intended, but he gave the go anyway because he felt fans would become the troll themselves and laugh with the character, but it backfired because none of the players got the idea that he was joking with the making of the character itself so there were complaints on the character. My reasoning is the character's terrible VA and creativity behind it (which is merely an opinion of mine.) the other reasons for the other players is the amount of time and effort he tried to put into it with some of the complaints actually being genuine, would you believe that? actually genuine. Which to my surprise because most Tekken complaints are merely idiotic to an extent. Few of the idiotic ones was removing Lucky Chloe or turning her into a robot, which is typical from Tekken players to ask because there are obviously bears and robots while hearing those complaints in a cringeful way, however most of the sane ones generally have a natural say to go with "Meh, she's in the game..but was hoping for something more." Which is a general natural response from sane players/buyers while still being reasonable on the matter.

You ever saw Powerpuff girls? Sugar (Buyers), Spice (Tekken), and the last ingredient (Everything nice) is that he threw himself in there which was perfect and touche plan to troll but with an incredible side effect that is incredibly negative with some feedback that were actually reasonably negative towards the character itself while the others being mostly insane.

Oh guys, here's the concept of how LC was actually supposed to look...I don't know why they changed it. She looked great here:

She actually looks like a serious fighter, and I like how they kept the pigtails.
Chances are that might be in the console version as an alternate costume.

I feel like all playable characters in T6 should be back.

Somebody posted this on TZ and its a interesting video.

Interesting look at how she'll play in FR, that is IF she makes the cut (chances are she will).

Well, didn't know the first part. I don't exactly read up on that kind of stuff, and I kinda stay away from Kotaku and SRK.

Even with them being designed with the actual intent to be in the game, it doesn't negate that they were indeed products of trends for their time period. They were modern day characters for their time. Most other fighters had equivalents to those respective characters, whether it was char design or gameplay archetype. Tekken has always catered to what was in style, it's just now what's in style different. They're not "giving in" to anything by adding chars like Chloe. People who've been into the series since the 90s are naturally not gonna be as accepting of certain new trends because it's not what they know the series as. It's something all long running series run into at some point. Yeah some complaints are valid, but they can mostly be boiled down to it's too different (not intended to be critical, it's just what I see).

Tekken 2 is one of my favorite games ever, still play it every now and then. As for TK7, I like the new characters in this new game. But even with that said, it's not the Tekken I remember back in the 90s. Too much dubstep and cuteness. And that's fine, the 90s are over. I'm just glad they don't dump the entire cast not named Kazuya or Heihachi and masquerade that as Tekken. That'd be worth getting upset about.

Woah, different tastes I guess, I myself prefer the tekken games after the 3rd one, T5DR, T6, and especially TTT2 are ones I enjoy playing, and I do like most of the dubstep and EDM, it gives me a hype feeling when I play. And I did prefer Lili's TTT2 and T6 face, her new one makes her look nice and cutesy, not haughty and bitchy like her old faces were.

T6 is my personal favourite, the Scenerio Campaign was so fun! TTT2 is my least favourite no special modes to play and a sucky customization mode. I do give it credit for bringing back characters though.

I think it's so interesting how when Chloe was revealed everybody was hating her and I stuck up for her weeaboo ass and then later I began disliking her and when Josie was revealed I hated her because she "stole from Bruce" but now I claim her. Why am I like this...

I hope despite Josie's default outfit that she has lots of clothes like the leather one in her customization's.
So far all the new characters has two separate customization outfits except for Gigas I think. Josie has the biker outfit and some ugly bodysuit that I'm gonna customize to make her look like a Ghostbuster.

I didn't mind the lack of single player in Tag 2, but I felt that was because it was more of a party game with 60+ characters.

I feel like when she's in the game she's gonna be such a heavy hitter. It makes me think she'll be better than Nina.

@ the Anna speculation video: I was watching this earlier and it was interesting. I mean... I'm kinda obsessed with her so I know all that stuff but it's nice to know that all the good stuff is in one video.

Chloe is a cool cat because it's a B-boy character. And she's not that amazing anyway so there's really no need to get butthurt about any of this unless you're upset about developers being lazy fuckers selling half finished products.

Remember DOA5 vanilla?

My guess is probably a release date announcement for the console/PC version.(2017 is likely IMO)

Also, isn't this the first Tekken game on PC? I don't recall the others being on PC

I really hope they show something like a scenario campaign mode but I doubt it so I just hope they reveal atleast one new character, And if they do I hope its Anna! A better look at character customization would be good too.
