I'm starting to think there's only going to be 5 stages in the final game...:/

T7.0 has 8 stages and FR has 10 in total (arcade version). They always add more stages going from arcade to console. I wanna say we'll have maybe 12 to 16 in all for console.

I predict that there will be at least 20 more new characters coming (based on Nina's and Kazumi's place as well as the number of slots on both sides). I could be wrong.

What makes you say 20? I count 14 empty slots.

I see. I was counting the ones after Jack and Yoshi from their sides because I thought they were empty. Never mind.

20 additional characters is also a bit much, don't you think? ;) That would be about 40 in the end? Outside of King of Fighters XIV the roster of current gen fighters is usually much slimmer than in previous gens.

That would be 49 and it's confirmed 100% since E3 we'll have "over 30"

Ooooooh ok I see now.

There should be at least 18 at the very least, TTT2 has shown that they're capable of making many detailed stages without sacrificing too much, plus this is current Gen consoles with the UE4, they can do it. I'm hoping they'll overhaul alot of stuff and bring back tekken tunes.

The new Mishima Building stage has a stage transition, but it's still a walled stage. It's crazy.

I like how they borrowed this from SCV with the stages. It's an interesting concept.

I meant 12-16 for arcade version, but we still have time release stages to look forward to before the jump to console.

That's the new stage?? That looks so awesome! It's getting even more and more obvious that perhaps the development team from SC could be assisting with more than just the costumes now.

And that's why we don't see a SC for the next couple of years. :/ They've got their hands full with Tekken.

I never really made friends with Tekken and I really tried. Why is this so much more popular than SC? D:

Simple: Better graphics, easier learning curve as of recently, and SC even has Cas and almost perfect customization options. Honestly if Anna, Lili, LC, and Claudio didn't exist I probably wouldn't play it, the movesets of the other characters are way to complex or technical, those 4 are literally the easiest imo to use.

I think it has something to do with arcade revenue. Every Tekken game has had an arcade version which gave it time for balance.
The last popular SC game was SCII and that had an arcade version. SCIII was a PS exclusive which went straight to console and the balance was a mess. They fixed that in the arcade version which came after only for Japan. And since then it has went straight to console.

It's most likely the profit they get from it. Remember, SCIV was supposed to be the last game but because of demand they made SCV which also didn't do as well.

Wait a sec...I was asking why Tekken is so much popular than Soul Calibur. XD
Oh..... uh I don't really know why, probably something to do with it being more in modern times and having more characters perhaps? Also it's basically what CFW said, SCIV was indeed supposed to be the last game. They only continued it because of demand, otherwise that would have been it for the Soul calibur lore.
