The 3 rare costumes...

The information that I gathered on these forums was:

To unlock the 3 rares you play any character, any mode, on legend. You would then randomly see the rare costume, after defeating them there would be a 30% chance of you obtaining it.

Now that there is more official info out there I wanted to cross reference what I found.
This is straight from the guide:
Christie: clear legend course (solo) in Time Attack Mode with Christie, w/o using a continue
Lisa: clear legend course (solo) in survival mode with Lisa.
Tina: clear legend course (solo) in Arcade with Tina, w/o using a continue.

Any thoughts? All other unlocks are pretty straight forward and the information in our unlock section is accurate. These are the only questionable unlocks I have not been able to totally confirm.

One thing you got wrong, you will always fight Tina and Christie on the last battle with a rare costume no matter what in legend. The 30% unlock is suck, I play through Legend mode over 15 time in order to unlock it. It's depend on how lucky you are, I am not. Not sure about Lisa but it'll most likely be the last battle of that mode as well.

So you don't have to use Christie on Time Attack? Lisa in survival? Tina in Arcade? That info is totally false?

You can use whoever you want, you will fight them on the 8th battle in arcade/time attack. I'm not sure about Lisa because I don't really want to go through survival.

You just beat them, even if you lose, just try again and beat them. I got Christie rare costume after I lose to her and try again and won. Even though I says this, you should try to win without continue anyway until some one confirm or you'll just waste your time. Unless you guys want to confirm it for me.

well survival is bitch .. i just had a run in champ difficulty and died at 86 wins and it told me i lost n got nothing ...

I would have thought the numbers increase by 10... but hard was 50 wins and now champ is probably 100 ...
wtf is legend gonna be ? 1000 ?

its really mind draining ...

for tina and christies costumes .. you really dont need to do it with them ... any character on legend would do ..

I've only done up to whatever Survival was 30 wins. Got Tina's with Brad Wong first try, didn't get Christie's on my first try in Time Attack. Lisa's is gonna be incredibly annoying to get. I want those achievements, though.

Since the saves don't seem to be copy protected (I was able to copy my PS3 save off to a thumb drive) I assume that the best recourse would be for a generous soul who has unlocked everything to simply share their save file with other folks. Would also be great for TOs who don't want to have to unlock every character just for events.

I don't know about that 30% thing.
I beat Legend Arcade at least 10-15 times, didn't get it.
Then I beat it without continuing, and got it.

Yeah whoever has TN ear, tell them to go fuck themselves.

The whole 30% thing must have been patched out.

I JUST got Tinas and Christies so far. I just need Lisas..... AND HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET PAST THE SURVIVAL COURSES!!!

Tip: Spam Christie's 9K Lol
