He felt bad for doing it the entire time, because he was actually very good to begin with, but it got too risky to not cheat later on.

Which is why Im worried true fighter may or may not be more than 100...
cuz the titles are like survived 10 , survived 20 , survived 30 , survived 50 , survived 100 so far ...
so ... i wonder if the numbers go up from now on or if its just the difficulty ... or is it just that I was tired and couldnt concentrate anymore .. lol

Fortunately I don't care a damn about Lisa's but I want Tina's and Christie's.
EDIT: I got Tina's semi-naked suit spamming Busa's 4P+K with no continues but the weird thing is that I was missing the last costume for him and it didn't give it to me (The NG1 one). It gave me Tina's but not Busa's. Wha the hell happened¿

No. The numbers are directional notation. Look at a ten-key number pad. That's the directions.

I found Christies way more difficult than Hayabusa's. Only made it to level 2 with Christie's method. Got to level 7 with Hayabusa's but died to Elliot. Just couldn't get my stuff down right. He kept countering and doing crazy combos. Also read this other method (video below):
So I'm sure you all have noticed that legend's a bit of a hassle. Using this method may help. This may not work very well on Tag. Credit goes to The Enforcer from DOAworld.com
Use Tina's Back + LB (punch + kick) back flip. Just constantly hold back and with a bit of timing press LB to flip and attack. After connecting with the flip, press Down + grab (A by default) to slam the AI while they're down. Repeat as needed.
If you get hit, just let them knock you down. Unless you are confident in your countering skills I'd recommend taking the damage and doing a spin kick to get up. Pressing hold (X by default) will help recover faster when you hit the ground, then you can do your low/mid spin kick (Down/Diagonal Down + B by default) while the AI is trying to attack you. If the AI is in the middle of a combo the spin kick will always hit.
Notes:
Sometimes your follow up grab won't connect. Don't panic, just do another back flip.
Be careful with smaller levels (especially the circus ones), because sometimes Tina will run up the wall and do a body splash. Sometimes it works fine, other times the AI will punish you because the move takes some time to do.
Timing is the key to making this work, but once you get it down the AI will be at the mercy of your flips and slams. If you can beat solo on legend without using continues, you get Tina's rare costume!

i guess you dont have 30% or maybe im just to lucky, because i just beat the game with no continues today in the morning and get tinas costume and then went to time attack and get christie's both on the first try but i just think lisa costume it's just ridiculous 100 wins i dont think so.

I know that feeling .. I finished survival in DOA4 once and I'm "afraid" to touch survival in DOA5 any time soon. XD
They use power blows which is really scary. O_O
Hate to say it, but it looks like the Tina backflip method has some serious flaws that prevent it from being a truly viable strategy. It might work for some characters, but any character with a strong high attack, ( such as Rig, Ayane, Kokoro, Gen Fu, or any of the VF fighters) will stop you most of the time. Plus, if the other characters block or sidestep, you end up being left wide open. Sometimes you can try to do a 6 grab afterwards, but if that gets countered, then you'll be turned around and left extra vulnerable. I've gotten a bit farther using Hayabusa's 4 pk, but even that didn't work forever. Furthest I've gotten is with Christie (no special attacks) and even then, I beat Tina in the special outfit and didn't get it afterwards.
I'm honestly still confused as to what unlocks it. Is it continues or not? Is there a way we can set up a poll or something that asks if you continued at all if you unlocked it?

I won 7 matches then lost twice against Tina, I was so frustrated, but when I finished it I was surprised that I unlocked it. I think you can't lose the first 7 matches but you can lose against Tina.
