Seriously? I've heard nothing but great things about that converter.

Most pad warriors stick to Tekken, and you don't need shoulder buttons for Tekken. It doesn't get complained about a lot.

Venture off into SCV land or any FG that benefits from shoulder inputs and you'll be miserable.

Well the thing is that it is highly recommended on SRK for games like SF4 and marvel. From what I've heard Wolfkrone uses that converter. I'll have to look into. I already ordered one and it would be pretty disappointing if that converter suffered for this issue. -_-

Well, it does.

If you're using a DS2 you will notice that R1/L1 function fine, but R2/L2 require you to use maximum pressure to get an input.

If, however, you hook up a DS1 or earlier PS1 pad you will not have this issue because that generation of controller was not pressure sensitive. It's just a case of actually finding a decent early PS1 pad.

The converter also has issues with minimalistic input timing. For example I found it nearly impossible to fuzzy guard in SCV with this converter because it wouldn't let me tap 8 and release it in a timely manner. Granted the patch removed the ability to fuzzy, but it was still a limitation.

Any game that requires you to press a direction and release it incredibly quickly is going to give you problems.

Do you know of a better converter for PS2 to 360 then?

Saw this on GT.TV. It's a usb that allows you to connect any device to any system and the review claims there is no delay on any of the setups they tried. It's a bit pricey sitting at $70 but if this thing is actually a good converter it's better than spending $100 on a MLG controller that only works on one system.

What's the difference between the Cronus Cross-over gaming device and the Carbon Fiber Cronus Cross-over gaming device? There is like a 10 dollar difference? Even though I just bought a converter and PS2/PS1 controller I am actually considering using this so I can use my PS3 controller on 360. Which would be ideal. -_-

I don't think there is any difference functionality wise. One is just made out of carbon fiber and the other is plastic. I went ahead and took the dive and bought it so I'll let people know if its any good. At $70 though it better be flawless lol.

Its a good thing I went to this tread. Now I know when I buy the silver controller when I own a 360, do not twist the D-pad! lol and theres something weird about the Dual Skock 3 because they seem to last much longer than the PS2 controllers. Every Dual Shock 2's I owned ALWAYS have some type of problem but I NEVER had any problems with my DS3 controllers, its interesting i'll say.

its looks pretty good but $70 time to start saving. They also have a wireless one as well

Ya but the wireless one isn't available yet. The normal one you just need that pc receiver for wireless 360 controllers for it to work(which they sell for an extra $10 but I passed up on it). Otherwise a wired 360 controller plugs right in and works fine apparently.

Yeah so apparently you need a wired 360 controller to use your PS3 controller on 360 with the cronus. Just a heads up for people.

I'm guessing that when the wireless version comes out you will just be able to just plug in play.

I think you're a little confused here. It comes with a bluetooth addon that lets you use ps3 controllers on the 360. You need a wired 360 controller to use on the ps3. The only way a wireless 360 controller will work on the ps3 is if you have the pc receiver thing that lets you use wireless controllers on the pc which they will add for an extra $10. I have a wired 360 controller so I didn't need to spend the extra $10 on it.

I'm telling you that you need to plug the wired 360 controller into the converter, unplug it and then plug in your PS3 pad so that you can actually use your PS3 pad. I guess that is how most converters are since I guess MS has some kind of authentication on their controllers that have. So that's how it will be for their other model that they have coming out(I guess that's mainly used for modding purposes like rapid fire, quick reload etc so its not important for fighters.). But yeah I was just letting people know that they need a wired 360 controller if they are looking to use their PS3 controller on 360.

Anyways I've decided to just go ahead and buy one as well.

:( <-- My bank account

I wish I was you, I'm literally just now moving on to my 4th DS3 controller. My L2/R2 springs keep wearing out, Left stick begins sticking with some very weird resistance thrown in, and my battery life continues to completely fade until it no longer functions without the use of a charge cable. I just want one reliable PS3 controller... It's one motivation to switch to my sticks for DOA5.
