This was a good press conference, definitely better than their last ones. Still there was hardly any game in there that really made me want to play it or even buy a Xbone or Xbone X for it. And that was a point I felt was handled pretty poorly. They made it absolutely clear that the Xbone X is The Xbox you should be buying and playing. They basically shat all over the old console for the whole show. Sony didn't go that far with the standard PS4, when they announced the Pro and I thought that was handled a lot smarter and fairer to the standard PS4 player base.

Also the way they anounced the 500$ price was funny. XD They knew people were hoping for much less. A hundred less. But what can they do, when they have to put newer and more expensive parts in there and when they are not the market leader, which Sony is? They can't afford to sell the Xbone X for less and make losses at this point.

Eh yeah the $500 asking price is insanely steep but I'm sure there's people out there that will go for it. Personally though there was nothing of interest to me so I won't be. Overall though this was a good conference that blew EA's nonevent out of the water.

It's Japanese, it's anime, it's post apocalyptic, it has hot bishounen and bishoujo. It's made for you.

The game looks good but idk...it reminds me of a sort of expy of nier automata and the artstyle doesn't seem as solid as I would like looking at the faces and hair, it kinda reminds me of a darker tales of berserk. I'll have to keep tabs on it since the clothes at least catch my eye

Yes, it is apparently Soulsborne-like. But it's a more open action RPG apparently. From Software has nothing to do with it.

I didn't say that, I mean it's interesting but I have to wait on it first like I didn't like Nier Automata until I played the demo and saw there was another character besides 2B, plus I hope there's an English dub, I'm not much a fan of full Japanese games

That you don't like Japanese voices surprises me though. You seem to be a connoisseur of all things Japanese, lol.
I think they fit best to Japanese games and they are often way, waaaay better than English, German or French dubs that you get for these games. Like FFXV for example or Nier Automata... D:

I like Japanese but only for certain characters like say Ryona, Scheherazade, and Momiji and Rachel but only distinct ones, Japanese voices imo often sound so much alike to the point that there might as well be only 7 Japanese voice actors for every gender and stereotype XD With English I like being able to see how an English VA brings that Japanese character to life, like Kasumi and Phase 4's English VAs are great, plus the artstyle imo seems to suit English VAs more. Senran Kagura would also be great in English

Actually I've never even heard the Japanese dub for nier automata at all, A2 and 9S and 2B's voices in English are way too good to even consider changing. I only use Japanese if I don't really have a choice honestly. Plus their screams and attack sounds are too stylish as if they were told to sound that way for appeal. English VAs actually sound like they're in a real fight and really putting force in their blows

So beautiful...and that music. O: I am still often listening to the OST of the first game, even though I never played the game myself.

With that said I'm certainly interested in Code Vein. Have to see more of its gameplay, but I like how it looks, hopefully that's the direction the next Tales games takes graphics wise.
Assassin's Creed : Origins caught my interest too, and that's pretty much it.

As long as it's good as Nier Automata which is still the best JRPG imo next to persona 5 I'll be good, it needs to have a good soundtrack that's really dark and depressing and there HAS to be a boss fight where after you're done fighting them you have to walk over to them to trigger a cutscene like in Nier automata so I can just listen to that endgame music as they hobble around in pain like they did in Nier against Eve. And hopefully there's costumes or another playable girl, I don't like her all that much

Tbh i thought that it was gonna be xbox exclusive and exclusives usually turn me off from a game XD. If nier was for example I would have no interest in it since I would never likely play it, just like Dance Central Spotlight, Valkryie Drive and even Animal Crossing if they announce it on Switch, and I LOVE that series. Plus I don't even own many games, I'm pretty strict as to what I play and to this day on ps4 I only own like under 15 games, I probably wouldn't have bought nier were it not for the trailer and demo and persona 5 I had no idea about until last summer when I didn't know it even existed

I didn't know at all, I thought it was only xbox exclusive, but now that I know it's multi console I'll likely get it, which reminds me I hope Nier releases more character dlc

I don't like that I still see easily noticable polygon edges on the KHIII characters. :/

to be fair they are also very simplified designs with intentionally hard edges

judging by the way the eyes are designed, i'm guessing it's the God Eater studio? They do a really good job of making the eyes look brush painted.

the game is absolutely gorgeous, but the actual characters cartoony anime cel shading style really clashes with how much more realistic look everything else is, even their own clothes and weapons.

Love the lighting and use of bloom they have going on there, though.

Okay well I woke up and watched Bethesda's conference... Happy I didn't stay up for that. Nothing of interest again.I think next is Ubisofts at 6pm or something? I can feel the coming cringe already.

And I'm not surprised its coming to ps4 since isn't it Japanese so if they want sales it needs to be on os4 since the Xbox does bad in Japan.
