well before, the whole point was that she had an ego just as big as Janns, took offense that.he "saved" her from thugs, and was hellbent on beating him to prove she was just as strong and didn't need saving. then in 5, they made her into Amy rose, creepy child stalker with a crush. again, nearly every characters characterization went down the drain with 5.
Oh yeah! Now that you mention it... lol

except for Leons segment. that was awesome until the filmmakers remembered Kasumi was supposed to somehow win, and had Leon stop his curbstomping of her and let her attack him then fall over for her lol.

Regardless how bad the movie was (I still can't forgive Sarah Carter for turning Helena into a rollerskating bimbo), Leon was portrayed correctly appearance-wise.

minus 25 years or so. but also ability wise! I loved how he curbstomped kasumi and the stool. yyou can prsctically hear the director going "shit, she can't actually beat him in a fight."

Wasn't Hitomi a dude in that film? 90% film was just bad with the butchering of source material, but it had its moments.

Better then Legend of Chun Li, but worse then the MK and Van Dam SFII movie.

I'm not sure if every character's characterization went down the tubes by the time of 5, but more of Dimensions finally doing something Itagaki never bothered to do: Actually make the characters interact with each other past the elements in their rival battle.

And speaking of that, remember Ayane basically being touted as the villain in DOA2? Seriously, by how she was speaking and used, she could have easily became the final boss of DOA3 all on her own.
But back to my point, I do believe she always HAD that crush on Jann Lee, but it was more along the lines of proving she was his equal and gaining his respect and when she finally gained that at DOA4, THEN she basically played stalker. Although considering how Dimensions ruined Kasumi and Ayane beating Raidou and Genra by themselves due to BS, I usually take those parts out of canon.

Deleted this message because I have no fucking clue how was that million years old post highlighted and I felt compelled to reply because I didn't notice how old it was because I'm too sleepy.

Move Along, nothing to see here.

That movie was so stupid. In the beginning they had tina, Christie, and Kasumi working together... All 3 of their stories dont even connect (well Christie and Kasumi just a little bit). They had Donovan blowup DOATEC even though Helena did in her DOA4 (I may be wrong though, was that DOATEC?). Christie was barely evil or mean. Ayane was played by an old ass woman. Helena was on rollerskates, oddly. Ayane and Hayate kissed. The only thing I liked from the movie was Kevin Nash as Bass and Jamie Pressly as Tina. Zack's actor was pretty close to Zack too.
