I'm not getting an x-box or a 3ds for a character. I hope you know that there are some people whose entry into the doa series is literally 5 and basically this is denying them of a character who is heavily a part of the doa story line.

You can use the excuse that he's dead but it kinda doesn't matter because if you're going by that logic how can ein and hayate be both in the same game when they're the exact same person.

"Tropical Sexy Costume" and " Private Paradise movie" were released for North American regions and will be for European countries tomorrow (Feb 5th in Local time). We have issues with SCEA and "Tropical Sexy Kokoro" and "Tropical Sexy Costume Set" is on hold. It will be out February 11th for North America. what they want really doesn't matter. we pay them for a service not the other way around.

Actually it's more of a collaboration with video games. Sure we can influence some of the decisions but it's not a purely Client-Patron relationship because of the creative nature of the video game. Our power is strictly "if you want it buy it" not "tell Team Ninja everything you want and expect it." That's not to say the consumer is powerless, but the hierarchy definitely favors to the developers, producers and etc.

...I seriously cannot understand why I continue to bother...whatever. Suppose I'm done.

These outfits are off-putting to me.

And what's up with the whole "Private Paradise"? I mean were they delusional enough to believe that people want to pay $22 for roughly 7 and a half minutes of footage? What is it doing there at all. Meanwhile, story cutscenes remain strictly uncustomizable.

On a more interesting note aren't we supposed to get a pack of free dlc later this month? Maybe that will brighten my soured attitudes.

Where is the 1.04 patch for 360 D= I was expecting it to be here when I woke up. Oh wells. I see the costumes still aren't up on ps3 either... I wonder what the trouble is.

~ Also, I can understand the logic behind not putting Tengu in the game. And I'm not saying this because I dislike the character, but I can assure you Alpha-152 will (most likely) no longer be in the DOA series now she's been eliminated. Much like how Raidou didn't continue his appearance into DOA2-5 once he was defeated in DOA1, same goes for Omega in DOA3.

If Tengu gets carried on through the DOA series, it would mean they would have to do it with EVERY boss character, otherwise it wouldn't be fair. The only characters that really die in the end anyway, are the boss characters. Leon isn't dead, and Ein is Hayate so he's not dead either- so their inclusion isn't really far-fetched.

So if Tengu gets thrown into DOA5U, they sure as hell better do it with all boss characters. Which means in DOA6 they have to have every boss character from DOA1-5... and so on and so forth.... most boss characters in any fighter vanish after their demise at the said point in their series. It's the sad truth, and it's why I would never even bother maining a boss character in any game. There is a VERY high chance in the next game, your character will not be there anymore.

Tengu has barely been remembered. He skipped a game and was horrible in DOA4. Nothing about Tengu is "likable" in the least. Hayabusa got rid of him for good.

Isn't there like a character filter option in the game where you could basically cross out the character that you don't want to play against? Why not do that and let the ones who want Tengu back enjoy him? It's a win-win situation.

I'd love it if we get a feature to select the costume we wanted for a character before playing their story mode. I would probably set Helena in her Greek Goddess dress while drinking a martini.

The free DLC is Kasumi's Ragnarok Odyssey Ace promotional costume. It's valid up till February 11, 2014.

Alpha might be in the next game. Unlike Tengu she appears to have required very little effort. She's Kasumi's identical character model with the texture removed and a light warping effect added. She has a lot of the same animations as Kasumi, and alternate outfits just require a change in hue. Since it is that simple it would have been cool if TN made her available in every color. I would actually use a pink or orange Alpha.

I'd like an iridescent water skin for Alpha-152 if she will still be there. Would look nice on stages with rainbows like Flow (edge of the waterfall) and Lost World. It's as if you're fighting a moaning girl made out of water.

True, but there are some boss characters who are simply too iconic to lose. How many SNK games have Geese? Didn't he die in his storyline? Heck, there's even a special version of him for games where he's supposed to be dead! (Nightmare Geese) And how about Rugal? He keeps coming back for every end-of-arc game (1998, 2002) and some crossovers (Capcom Vs SNK among them). At this point, I suspect if there were another King of Fighters, he'd be the boss.

Tengu is the same way. He's an iconic member of the cast, like it or not. He's been in all iterations of 2, 4, and Dimensions. He didn't even need to be in 4, he just was because he's that iconic. He was even supposed to be in vanilla 5 until the dev time ran out. With that in mind, I think it's safe to say he should have a chance.

Also, you guys should all probably be ignoring Jyaktoku. He's either a blatant troll, or just stupid. Seriously, Ayane and Tengu play nothing alike!

As for the new mode, I would like to see Marie Rose building a sandcastle. Oh, and Bayman scuba diving.

If Ayane and Tengu really play alike, why couldn't she blow a gust of wind, alter surroundings or fly and grab people then slam them down to the ground? It's a baseless statement really.

As for the new mode, it's simply a 40 seconds paid-DLC movie clip that were ripped from 5+. Unfortunately, there's none for Marie Rose (she's not yet here), the guys and the VF imports.

i was thinking about why Sarah and Pai weren't included in the gravure movies, Im sure SEGA didn't want the characters in that sort of thing. Team Ninja could have (first of all, not charged so much for them) made martial arts demonstrations for the characters, like Soulcalibur does (or did anyway). Then they could include the SEGA characters and also the men. Frankly, I'd find that sexier than having the girls awkwardly roll around like a 12 year old and still have it be something cool for people who aren't into the cheesecake factor.
